Re: JD Williams / What do I do?

If a DCA had ever threatened to kidnap my children I would have had the little blighters dressed and ready at the front door. The ultimate revenge on a DCA

Re: JD Williams / What do I do?

You will always get letters threatening this and that, because thats all they have in the bag to play with.

As an example, if they threaten court action, and you write back showing clearly they can not, because of whatever reason applies, you will get a letter back from them saying they wont take action, while another letter will arrive the same week saying pay up or else.

One thing ive learnt dealing with my mothers MBNA debt is, standard demand letters get sent out regardless, threatening all sorts, they will even use a solicitor template letter as a scare tatic, but all of these are just template letters they use.

Even though they know they can not enforce a debt, they still try to threaten you with it, because simply asking nicely for payment does nothing.

Plus, the only way they know how to get a payment from anyone is by threatening to seek this or that, just read their wording, it is always "may" seek to, or we "may" advise.

Because a) they are not allowed to imply an action that a court can only rule on. and b) someone without knowledge may be scared enough into agreeing a payment they cant afford.

It may seem like they ignore any letter you send, but they choose to ignore it, if your confident you are right, then they wont take it further because they know they cant.

My mother has had non stop phone calls, but i put a stop to it using niddys templates on phone call harassment, they threatened a door step visit, until i used niddys no appointment template, i have now got letters confirming they will not do either, nor can they enforce the debt, just keep sending the letters showing you are not a push over and they will get the message in the end.

I'll sort you a follow up later in the week. Am away on a course till Thursday so no time.

Stop stressing, it's not "worse" - far from it. Now we have justifiable proof that they're not going to push things which is exactly what we wanted. Now we're, or rather YOU'RE in total control of the situation and they'll soon start to see this and back off.

Just relax and email me a copy of their letter please.

Oh, you meant a course of treatment!

But weren't we supposed not to mention that until after you know if the grafts have taken?

I used to be afraid of the post... Now I look forward to it - so I can stick it to the DCA's

Heck, sounds like they have a GOD COMPLEX where they think they’re the only one supposed to have a debt forum help site.

I'll expect to get a ban soon then. I wont lose any sleep over it as this site looks like it has more bite than bark.

                                Hi Sorry.

They just ignored what I wrote to them and still sending me letters to pay. It's pretty much what I expected they would do. Still adding charges to.
