Well they won't - if they did that we'd screw into them. It can't and won't happen! Charge for a phone call, yea right - whatever next!

Methinks whoever told you that was spouting a load of bull.

Agreed - they do talk some shyte don't they! The OFT would have a field day if we had evidence to back this - shame the call wasn't recorded - although it would be at the bank...

What year did your storecard turn into a credit card? After 2003/4 they began to send out application forms and/or get people to sign up to a new credit card account in store which may make a difference. Even signing up in store without the full Ts & Cs being present can cause them difficulties.

Mines still a chargecard just a nice new light green to the old dark one I had many years ago, I didnt use it for a couple of years and then like a pillock when they upped my credit limit I thought id buy a new dress for a wedding I went to and the rest is history.

I am now saving the money each month that was making little difference to the balance and not a bit of difference to my credit file as a result of finding AAD.

Iv just pulled out last statement, they dont appear to have charged anything although it might be on the next one I suppose. Theres a hellofalot of bumff on the back about interest rates, information and late charge rates etc that id never noticed before.

It won't be there, cos they cannot do it. Simples.

Ahh well now that changes things if it's only a storecard - however still, no harm in requesting the CCA - is there?

HSBC only underwrite the credit that M&S supply, your agreement is with M&S - nothing to do with HSBC.

Of course a chargecard is different, it can usually only be used in one company/store

A credit card can be used worldwide and in all ATM's.

Nope, just send off for a CCA - it's still a running credit agreement
