Well most of the creditors don't have a current home phone number or home address ... so easy enough to avoid them.

The payday lender ... was calling incessantly yesterday to the home line. They've got the home number, but not my address. Anyway about dinner time I picked up the phone, they explained who they were and asked why the payment failed. I explained that I'd had fraud on my account and the cards had been replaced. "Oh good, can you make a card payment now?". I replied "I could, but I'm in the process of filing for BR, so I've been advised not to!". They replied "Oh ok, no problem, I'll just put a note on your account! Let us know when you've got more info!"

        hahahah Niddy is wrong!! :niddy

It was PayDayUK. Funded by MEM Consumer Finance. They've been quite good when I really needed them, but they have certainly had their money's worth in interest over the past few months!!!

Funnily enough, when I was looking around, I used a site for a quotation. I didn't realise it was a broker site, and it forwarded all my info to QuickQuid ... I was then getting tons and tons of messages from QuickQuid about getting my loan, and just needing my approval and the money would be in my bank. I contacted them and had a right barney with their data controller. I informed them that "Id never taken a loan with them, I'd never been a customer, I never had any wish to be a customer. Therefore I wanted all my information deleting from their database or I would report them to the ICO". They argued for ages that since I'd been on their site, I'd processed a request. Finally I got an email from the broker who said they automatically passed requests through to QuickQuid. A week later QuickQuid emailed and confirmed deletion of all my data!! Hurrah!

Niddy v Payday ... I'll have to have a search! Is this documented?

Shysters to deal with in terms of their business practice, or shysters when you don't pay them back?
