In the case of Berrisford v Mexfield Housing Association it was determined that a tenancy agreement with no end date was a contract and fell under the jurisdiction of the LoP Act 1922.
This states that without a determinate end date, ie a rolling monthly tenancy agreement, that the tenant is entitled to occupancy for 90 years, subject of course to any 'fault' clauses.
As such a landlord can not give notice to quit, ever (well for 90 years or death whichever comes soonest).
Anyone who can expand on this ?
