Have read the pdf carefully.. it seems twin walled would have been best but the existing single wall flue should not be a problem. The boiler cupboard is brick built and is totally outside the house.

The easiest way is to Buy welding machines PATON and then you will not have such difficulties. This store will help you with the choice if difficulties arise.
