Re: cheapest train fare please
You could try Trainline.com
after you've checked them, see if the train company's own site has a cheaper ticket.
If you have to catch 2 trains see if it's cheaper to get 2 seperate tickets.
I do the seperate tickets with National Express coaches, (nearest train station to my friend is 5 miles away, coach stops 400 yards away)
Example : My last trip down south
A to C = £49
A to B = £16 + B to C =£17. total = £35
Saving £14
Still the same journey, same waiting time, same everything
(I did find a pub in london that serves a good pint )
and I also got 5% cashbackLast edited by Numpty Monkey; 16 February 2012, 20:55.It's taken years of hard work to earn the capital N in Numpty

Re: cheapest train fare please
red spotted hanky
if you have tesco points they'll double them (sometimes treble) and give you the money off the ticket.
for instance OH and I went down south before Christmas and the return tickets cost 17 in total - bargain!!!
