    Hi guys

Wonder if you can help me please.

If you replace an ignition key barrel, do you require the code?

If so what code should I be looking for and where should I find it? lol

Sorry I've not a clue about these things lol, thank you

Dont think there is a code. You should get a new key with the barrel.

What car is it for Di.

If its an old one, you may get a new barrel or you may have to buy the lock complete

              Thank you folks.

Jen do you know if the dealership charges for this (or does your hubby know)? thank you.
Also, does he know how long it takes to arrive?

              Sorry for the questions.

"The barrel completely snapped, my son is using the works car until it's done, so time isn't a big issue really" the one he's using is a little 2 seater Smart car lol!

..........was told it could take 3 to 5 days ??

Although I think it was guess work by the one who said.

                      Re: Ignition barrel

Di, he says its quite expensive and it comes as a kit.. you will get a barrel and a new key with immobilsor.. if its wired that way.

its not an easy job and he reckons it will cost a bit... at least 200.00 the key itself is 70.00 Hope this helps.
