I would see what they say on the specialist site Di.
We know quite a lot about debt but they obviously have more knowledge about the motoring/legal side of things.

Just have to be careful where we tread at the moment, as we do not want to jeopardise anything, as they seem to have their own rules of law to themselves as well with that force.
I know it will save a long trip to one of their own venues, and the fuel about 75 to get there and back maybe more, he would have had to pay almost £100 for the course.
Don't know how much his insurance will be raised to though, so that is something we have to deal with as well, at the moment he pays full comp with full protection, my son the main driver and my hubby to help him out went on as 2nd driver and that worked out about £800 a year.
Wonder if Direct line will accept a lump sum separately, so he could maybe carry on with the standard instalments of £75 a month?

As well as posting on the other site, my nephew who also works for traffic but with the local force to me is looking into matters as well, I don't get to see him that often but he did say he will check some stuff, just in case. xx

Have wrote to the chief of the constabulary, not that it will change anything, but a fixed penalty notice should have been issued at the time of the incident and instead they came to the arrangement of the speed awareness young driver course and only given a leaflet of the course.
The proof is on the letter as well sent from the Fixed penalty support unit that they were aware he was offered a course.
Son is just hoping to have that opportunity to take the course, as previously offered. He know's he must obide by the law, and I feel this would be beneficial for him as well.Comment

Received an email from the Chief's assistant and they have forwarded my email to the Fixed Penalty Support Unit who should get back with an explaination.
(Just wanted to keep you lovely helpful folks updated).
