Re: Tax credits renewal
Received the new award letter for the year in yesterday's post (Monday 12 August), they were dated 03 August 2012.
So taken time to get here.
Despite me sending in all details they required of income etc on the new form they classed this as "provision" with an overpayment of just over £800. It states that the new payments for now will be £104 a week (ok fair enough) and they have not yet collected the overpayment until further info is sent to them???
But what do they require? I gave them all details they wanted to know on the application review form we all receive every year?
Apart from sending the new income details for the year 2011 - 2012 which includes hubby's and my carer's allowance, there is nothing else to confirm, but some may remember earlier this year I wrote to them with details that my youngest was in full time education, so they reinstated it and started awarding it again from March of this year, although it was not classed as a new claim but continues from 2011 to 2012. (Before they awarded it again this year, it ended at the start of Jan 2012) and awarded again March 2012, classed as a continued claim.
Anyway, when I contacted them earlier this year about informing them of son in Full Time Ed, they wanted details of what was earned to date, so sent them the details they required, then they sent a letter (which I have kept) to say thank you for updating etc etc, the amount due to you is £XXX.XX............which is to complete to 05 April 2012. Weekly payments of £131.32.
Anyway, as said above, the letters only came arrived yesterday from tax credits, and they state that no overpayments will be deducted as yet.
I checked online banking today and it is not that of £104 as stated on the provision letter but £90.
So..............they have deducted already, not giving me a chance to even read the letter that only arrived yesterday really.
