As you have already defaulted, you've got nothing to lose!
If the OP is only 22 then the debts are only a maximum of 4 years old (i.e. 2008) so none will be UE.

Sorry for my ignorance. I'm quite young and this is all new to me. I'm 22 yrs old.

      EDIT:
      Is experian callcredit.co.uk?
you buy them from a post office ---> Postal Orders and the Post Office® | Finance | Making payments

No. Experian is not callcredit. That's like saying is Burtons Next...

Yeah, I'll make a separate thread about it once I've sorted this I think.

I sent proof of identity to equifax via email, waiting to hear back. It's annoying experian require me to send documents via post, it makes the process so much more of a ball-ache.

So when equifax get back to me, shall I get a staturoy credit report from them for £2? And then send proof of ID to experian and get another one from them, yeah?

I can't afford to send the SAR to nHunter at the moment, I only have £15 to my name and I am trying to make it stretch till payday for food and travel to work =/. It's been an awful month!

I've just gained access to an equifax credit report, but because I'm out and on my phone I can't access it right now I don't think. So I'll have to wait until I get home after work tonight. What am I looking for here exactly, on this credit report?

Re: Having real issues obtaining a basic bank account.

So I've just got in and checked my credit report, nothing I wasn't expecting. It tells me that I was a victim of identity fraud and CIFAS have a mark against my name. That still doesn't explain why I'm being rejected for basic bank accounts, unless being a victim of fraud is held against you when opening them up?

I'm guessing I will find it more pertinent information when I see what Nhunter have on me?

Also another question, after receiving details from Nhunter what is the process after that that will stop me being rejected for basic bank accounts?

                No no that's it.

What cifas category? That's why you cannot open an account.

If its a category 0 then fine. Anything else - check this

Don't bother with n hunter right now. Let's sort cifas first...

How do I find out the category number? Is it the one next to Role Qualifier? Shall I screencap it and post it up?

Well that suggest a couple of things. It's not really clear.

It suggests you are the victim of Takeover Fraud (facility granted) by them adding a new contract to an existing account that's been given a status code 01 which suggests False Identity.

Point is that's doing more harm than good. As your credit file is knackered, take it off

It achieves nothing. Not now. If t mobile refuse then let me know and I'll do you a letter to send.

If you want it to stay then it'll be as ambiguous to the lender as it is to me. Weirdly it could be suggested you took out a second contract and then denied it so you didn't have to pay.

I'm not suggesting you did that. Not for one moment but it can be read like that.

Anyway - that'll be the problem as no bank touches fraud cases.

Wow that's absolutely crazy! I definitely did not do that. Someone else managed to take out two phones in my name. I rang up to cancel as soon as I found out.

So now the question is, how do I remove it? And what could possibly be gained by keeping that there in future?

                                1. Write to t-mobile with a copy of that print out and demand immediate removal
                                2. Serves no purpose

Everything else we discussed; ignore for now. This needs resolving first
