Actually, there was some truth in it...my OH told me last night that my mother in law was making her annual Christmas visit today. When he saw my face he said "Don't look like that, it's not the end of the world"

Actually it won't go to waste, it'll help me cope with the endless tales of the untimely demise / piles / leg ulcers of relatives I've never heard of.
She's not due till 6.30 but if I know her she'll turn up at 4 just to catch me out.
