PS: Are Green & Co some in house Natwest crew ?
I have noticed that the font & letter layout is the same as Tri-it-on and Natwest letters previously received just on different letter heads.

Yep I'm sure they are in-house solicitors. I can't find the letter (must do filing) but I'm sure it said they were employed by BOS and/or NatWest. I'm finding that most of these legal letters are just from in-house people but it looks all scary and I'm sure it works much of the time.

Yes the Greens Solicitors letters does state on the bottom " Employed by RBS"

I received a letter from them in regard to my RBS visa account, usual stuff, pay RBS or they may be instructed to begin proceedings, I responded with an account in dispute letter, they quickly wrote back, thanked me for my letter and said they had passed it to RBS, who would deal with me directly.

That was in February and to date not heard anything else from Greens or RBS directly, but have had a letter in March from Moorcroft demanding I pay RBS or else !
Sent them the account in dispute letter, and to date heard nothing more from them.

and if I remember correctly, the first letter Green & Co sent me was on proper laid paper, looking quite impressive.

The one that said they were closing their file was on the cheapest flimsy photocopy stuff. Cheapskates!

Cheers - I noticed the RBS thing as well.
Sent the letter off today so will se what they have got to say.
Re Moorcroft - I had them on my back for a while(they are quite persistent) but they went away eventually - just keep following the templates.

                  Matty,

I didn't respond sooner as the other guys were keeping you on track and you already knew what to send off - so wait and see what they come back with, after getting the Threat of Litigation template.....

Update: BOS V (UE) - been quiet for a while.
Letter received from IQOR (not heard of this lot before) usual threats pay up or else - also threating home visit.
I will send them the 'sold while in dispute 'template and merge it with the 'doorstep visit' template.

Will let you know what happens.

                              Update 11-05-11

                              Morning.

Received a letter from AIC yesterday re my Amex account...usual pay up or else.
I really dont understand this one - the account is with the FOS who have upheld my claim for mis-sold PPI the value of which is much higher than the outstanding blance on the card.
However......whilst Amex have agreed to refund the PPI + stat interest they wont repay any of the CI they applied to the charges over the years.....so the adjudicator (who agrees with me) has passed it on to an Ombudsman to have a look at which could take a while.

Question is how do I tackle the AIC letter - just as normal ? I am thinking of the enough is enough template....or do I write to them explaining the position with the PPI claim and ask them to back off for now?

                              • Re: MattyA UE Diary

Send a copy of the letter to the fos and send AIC a letter saying it's with the fos and to back off or you'll report them for harassment.

Obviously send the fos a copy of your short response as well.

Out of interest, how much would the CI (credit interest) be on the ppi repayments? A rough approx....

Well done, seems a good result so far matey
