Well Westcot (CoOp, they wrote last month to tell me they can't provide a CCA) have written again, what planet are these people on? I'm ignoring them.

Rockwells (M&S, Enforceable) want me to up payments and suggested that I could use another credit card or extend a loan (!). Neither option is viable, nor would I want to do that if I could.
So continuing for this month and look again next month if I can increase it. I wonder what they will do if I don't increase it. They talked about sending it back to M&S but I hardly think that's likely. It's not a massive debt (not compared to some of mine).
Let's see what happens next month. Will they ask me to sell my grandmother, I wonder?!

just ignore them, its against their guidelines to suggest that you take credit elsewhere to pay them, just save that letter in case they ever do go to court with it. bampots!!!

Unfortunately it wasnt' in a letter. It's the only DCA I speak to on phone (enforceable debt and I've been negotiating repayments). I will stick to writing now. Lesson learned!

Hi don,t speak to them on the phone, if your paying an enforceable debt then i think they will not take any action.. i've been paying £5 per month on a 3k debt for the past 3 years.

                  That's very good to know.
I know I'm paying them a fair whack and I'm not going to increase it. They were the only DCA I was speaking to by phone, because until now they've been straightforward to deal with and no hassle. However, I'm putting it all in writing only, from now on. And I'll tell them why! Because I was concerned that on the telephone, their operative was suggesting things contrary to the OFT guidelines so I'd rather have everythign in writing.

They can put that in their pipe and smoke it!

That's the way, everything in writing then you have proof of the content of the negotiations.

Hooray. Westcot (CoOp, UE - can't locate an agreement from 20 yrs ago) have just written to say they have investigated their enquiry and are closing file and handin gback to Co-Op. Niddy's letter did the trick.
                      Wonder who will be next....!

Excellent - keep it safe and if anyone hassles you then you send a copy along with this (and it gets rid of them): ---> CCA Query - Letter Previously Confirming No CCA

Sorry Niddy never noticed your reply. Was originally paying £20, for last 3 months been paying £60 and I'm not increasing that. I might consider a F&F if they went for a reasonable amount (ie very low amount) but otherwise, as it's enforceable, I'll carry on at £60 a month over 4 years or so.
