Letter today from DLC on behalf of Hillesden who bought my MBNA Debt (which ended up as just under £17k, the majority of that's probably interest).... It's UE.

They are kindly offering me a once-in-a-lifetime offer to settle at 9k. Mmmm let me think about that.... er no I've thought and the answer is still bugger off.
    Niddified and proud!

Fought and won the UE battle, thanks to Niddy and this forum...

Letter from Fredericksons who are handling my Santander overdraft (where it was over £2k of unfair charges and the overdraft amount was £2600). I'm paying £20 a month, and they realise I'll be a pensioner before it's cleared, so would I like to increase it to £25?

I'm choosing to ignore. I'll carry on at £20 thank you, until such time as they might consider a very very low F&F. (seeing as only about £300 of this does not relate to unfair charges).

Ok, best of luck - if this is too high then drop back to £20 - you're fine paying £20, its a lot in the grand scheme of things

Hmmm, best to maybe ignore this for the time being..... it does seem a lot of interest, or do you mean cumulatively over the years?

If you're saying it is primarily made up of charges then reclaim.....? Surely....?

I did try - they rejected it and by that time all that happened husband had a job again and I didn't qualify for hardship any more (although not well off), so was stuck.

Ooh I've had a letter back from Rockwells (M&S, Enforceable): I wrote complaining that they advisor breached OFT guidelines by asking if I'd considered taking out a loan or putting the debt onto another card...

They send their huge apologies and they are looking in to it, will take seriously any training issues arising, have taken my number of the system, happy to keep accepting £60 for 6 months and will review after that.

I can now ignore them for a good long while...

                    CapOne - UE (recon).
A while ago they took this back from Fredricksons who were a right royal pain.
I now have a letter from HL Legal (which is basically CrapQuest trying to put the frighteners). I've not had to deal with CrapQuest yet but I gather they are a right bunch of tossers. Excuse my language...
Anyway it's a load of waffle about they consider I'm a "won't pay rather than a can't pay" and they can offer me repayment metthods which may include possible settlements which ccould save me money! (actually the way I can save most is not to pay them anything!). They also mention the possibility of doorstep visits.

I presume it's just a case of simply sending "Account Sold" at this point. I've had to previously send Refusal to accept UE, and it went round and round in circles with CapOne. But this is the first time CrapQuest have been involved.

I've just sent them (CrapQuest - HL said all correspondence goes to Crapquest) the new Account Sold letter and will wait to see what they come back with

Capquest not that bad, if its UE and you got that info.....they write once with scare followed by HL letter, once you've sent the letter that its UE and to get lost (to the point), you get nowt back from them (just a letter to say, account on hold till they investigate, and maybe another to say, we are sorry, but has put account on hold and chasing their client) at that point u do nowt......

                        Good luck on them

Ooer I never got hte first letter from Crapquest, just straight in with an HL letter.
CrapOne themselves maintain it's not UE but they sent me one hell of a recon so we're agreeing to disagree about that!!

Thanks for the info. I hope they will back off once they get the letter.
