Will just give you an update on my MINT account:

MINT(CCA'd June10,£10000). Probably enforceable, blagged anyway.
Mint never pressed hard, probably they think UE!
Then received offer from Nelson solicitors (after a long haggle fromTry it on and some solicitors called GReen)
All dealt with appropriate letters following advise from forum.
Now it seems that RBS Mint has sold account to Westcot- they sent "notice of debt collection" and other such letters. Following further demands I sent them- "Account sold - whilst in Default of CCA Request"
Now they have responded with a letter saying that I need to write to RBSG Insolvency and CLient support( emailed to agreements Niddy) and they will put a hold on account for a month!
So why should I write to them?

Things had calmed down,nothing to add except a recent offer from Nelson Guest Solicitors asking me to get in touch with Westcott to discuss a reduced repayment offer which I ignored!
They have now sent me another letter theatening "recovery action".I have emailed this to Niddy anyway but I suspect the answer would be to send them the account sold in dispute?

Had a couple of emails from Barclaycard saying that my EGG cards(2)have been sold to them, I have forwarded mails to Niddy at agreements. What would that imply? I do have an account with Barclays which I don't use much, shall I withdraw money from that?

to be on the safe side I would move any money you have in barclays out to somewhere else. it is getting more difficult as they all keep buying each other but you don't want accounts emptied on some spurious whim so better safe than sorry!

Just ignore the letters mate - they did get bought out by Barclays......

Also remove the funds you have in the account.

Just ignore the letters mate - they did get bought out by Barclays......

Also remove the funds you have in the account.

It seems that Barclays have asked Crapquest and Robway to collect as I have had two letters for the 2 accounts I had with EGG that have been taken over by Barclays.Both are formal demands for full payments!
So advice please as to what would be the best response.

Mrs D is right, adler that should do the trick for now. However a demand for the full amount cannot be made without the full Default Notice proceedure being followed. It is tantamount to termination which they cannot do without a fully compliant DN under s87(1) or without a DN at all. Barclays and Barclaycard have turned this into an artform of getting it wrong. Don't tell 'em though. Its one card up your sleeve as they can correct it.
