I'll await communication from Wilkin Chapman and respond accordingly.

Hi cymruambyth, I did have a read through Charlies thread last night.

It's difficult to know what to do for the best, Niddy looked at the paperwork I had from Sainsburys and it's possible that it may be enforceable, although this was in 2009 so what they would produce now if I do another s78 request could be interesting.

There's been long periods when I've heard nothing. Aug 13 it was with ARC, then May 14 it went to Restons which really panicked me because I am aware that they can be pretty aggressive! It was discussed on here and we were all of the opinion to wait and see what Restons next move was, but I heard nothing from them.

I have often wondered whether to respond with an s78 request or leave until anything further is received which gives cause for concern, however Charlie ignored their letters resulting in the claim being issued.

The only other thread I can find is Greymatter's and it seems that letter tennis is being working very well at delaying tactics!

Playing letter tennis will keep the file at the top of their pile, if you get what I mean, but maybe that's the way to go with this one?

This CC doesn't become SB until 2016 and is the largest balance I have so there's still a way to go.

Hmmm I haven't a clue what you mean in 'tech speak' Niddy but I did wonder why it wouldn't work.

Now I've found the search option, there'll be no stopping me!

Although, they don't seem to be known much on here as only 3 threads that I can find, two of which are Charlies!

You cannot store a search result like that as they're produced using a session ID (cookie based) so unless you use one of the pre-set search terms (Search Links (in the drop down link at top of page)) then search results & queries change upon cookie history & forum sessions. If anyone clicks the link in this quote it'll be a dead link/no results found.

Basically, to best utilise search just type what you want in the search box using a plus sign to search all words as one (Wilkin+Chapman+LLP (1 search phrase) as opposed to individual words (ie Wilkin. Chapman. LLP (3 search terms)).

Another four months on and nothing from Restons

However, I received a letter yesterday from Arrow, notification of account transfer to a new agency.

Management of the account has been transferred to Wilkin Chapman LLP and I should direct all queries, correspondence and payments to them.

I've never heard of them and to be honest I'm not sure how to search on the forum for any threads mentioning them so some help would be greatly appreciated.

    TIA

    Laptop battery now charged

Nothing to update at the moment, they don't appear to be very persistent.

Don't worry if Restons get aggressive because you've still got the opportunity to send them a new s.78 CCA request since your last one was sent to Sainsbury's in 2009. Goodness knows what's happened to their paperwork since then.

I have a Sainsbury's account which they admitted was UE because they said the Ts & Cs would have been on the back of the "credit agreement" but they didn't have the original on their file systems to reconstitute it. They admitted this when I challenged them on the "honesty and accuracy" of the recon one they sent.

I have Restons chasing my M & S store card which changed into a credit card without a new agreement. I've sent them the Santander vs Mayhew judgement and pointed out the legal similarities not to mention the fact that I was the defendant who won that case

Thank you for sorting title Deepie.

I've had laptop issues again due to my charger packing in but new one on its way.

I've gone back through my thread and see that I'd put the history of this in post 5!

The calls have started this morning, leaving a message on my landline and mobile but neither mention my name but do state that it's Restons.

If it's just going to be phone calls, I think I'll leave things at the moment and wait for them to write and see what intentions they have.

    Would everyone agree?
