Now breathe. If lowells get clever we'll set Paul on them for you. Paul likes to batter such firms into submission.

Stay calm, send a cca and keep us updated.

      Lowells are pussycats. Don't worry

        Hi tastyjane

My OH has had the same two letters today!

Like you, we've not heard anything for ages so I'll have to get the file out and update accordingly.

LTSB's response to the CCA in 2010 was a recon and they stated that they were endeavouring to find the signed agreement.

        We're still waiting!

There is also a letter from Lowell's in the same envelope introducing Lowell's

As some of you will know I know Lowell's only too well and I am terrified. Right before I panic I suspect I need to send CCA requests off as soon as possible (like tomorrow) but who to? LLoyds TSB or Lowell's?

I am slightly concerned as with what happened last time they know a lot about me and I think they will issue me with a SD again

          Help would be much appreciated.

11/07/13 - sent off CCA request by recorded to Lowell's, have also spoken sharply to myself, this debt is in a very different position from when I CCA'd them after they had issued a SD - I will not let their very name frighten me! I am clearly back on path and will wait for their response to my CCA request - this card was arranged when my ex husband was my bank manager (and my husband at the time) in August 1985, as far as I remember it was in the days that he would just bring an index card home for me to sign with all my details on it..... it will be interesting to see what they find, I can hardly remember the address I lived at the time and it is hundreds of miles away from where I live now.....

          Thanks again for the support.

Jane, don't stress, back then it was usually just arranged by a bank manager with no real agreement, the ones that were like this for my mother are all UE.

Thanks SXGuy, I'm actually not stressing now - a stiff talking to from Niddy and I realise that this is very different from last time.

Now interestingly I have been trying to remember how I came about getting this card at the ripe old age of 18 and I have realised it was when the TSB was just the TSB.... yet they are quoting that it is a Lloyds TSB card. I don't remember ever signing any additional paperwork but they obviously reissued the card once the TSB became Lloyds TSB. I am almost excited now to see what comes back

hi Tj, hubbys was also a TSB card so lloyds can't find his CCA either, but keep insisting he would have signed one, they have farmed it out to a few DCA's who send us letters along the line of.

Lloyds say the can find no record of your CCA request, please send us a copy of your request along with a fee of £1.00.
                OR

there is no record of your dispute please supply further information.

i just write back saying that Lloyds responded to my request saying they would send me a copy when they find one, we are still waiting (2010)

Seems Lowells must have bought a job lot of accounts on the 24th June, at least you're not alone!

Hubby received NoA concerning an old Halifax credit card this morning. Not sure if its equitable or absolute, all sent to Niddy, waiting his response.

Good luck with yours, sure you'll be fine!

Chances of anything being found on this must be next to nothing!
When Gold isn't enough, there is SA Gold! New to the forum and find the UE route a bit scary? Take a look at my diary here and judge for yourself. I am now saving the money each month that was making little difference to the balance and not a bit of difference to my credit file as a result of finding AAD.

Me too _ I have recieved 3 letters from BOS telling me accounts have been sold to Lowells.
These amount to a few bob!
I am awaiting the hello letter from Lowells and will then start the process all over agian.
This has been ongoing since June 2010.....so something must be wrong somwhere.
Cards also go back to the 80's.

11/07/13 Letter sent recorded to Lowell's requesting CCA

20/07/13 Letter received from Lowell's dated 18th July - Thank you for contacting us about your credit agreement. We have asked your original lender for a copy together with statements.

We will reply as soon as we can
We will do our very best to send you the information you asked for within 12 working days, but this depend on when your original lender can send it. We will let you know if we do not hear from them in time.

                          We're here to help
In the meantime if you have any more questions we will be pleased to help you; please do phone us.

This letter is slightly different than others I have received, they have said that the account will be on hold until they can provide the CCA, Lowell's don't seem to be saying that and they are also saying they are asking for statements - now I suspect they will be able to find those but the CCA (and in all honesty I am pretty sure I only signed an index card in the branch) might be a different matter.

Do I need to be concerned about this wording?
