Re: Tastyjane's UE diary
Onwards and upwards now for you and well done what a relief I bet.
Sometimes an over aggressive creditor is just what is needed to push us into the arms of the great team on here.
And then the rest after the initial flurry of excitment get the kiss my ***** and the full AAD treatment.
Respect to all the forum.

Re: Tastyjane's UE diary
I've just got in from a busy day in the offline world and I've got a ton of posts to catch up on. I must leave a message on this thread, though, thanking my esteemed colleagues for the truly exceptional job they have done in taking this to an acceptable conclusion.
Let's hope it gets a lot easier from this point on.

Re: Tastyjane's UE diary
Well all is so quiet, I haven't heard from either Marlin or Aktiv Capital since I sent my CCA requests and received their holding letters, we are trying to locate your agreement letters. Neither LTSB or my other Morgan Stanley/Barclaycard have been in touch (and I haven't CCA'd them yet as I have heard nothing since way before Christmas).
I am slightly concerned that we go away for a week, leaving on Wednesday. Call me paranoid but since the whole SD Lowell thing I am concerned that if I received a letter saying respond or we will issue a SD from either LTSB or Barclaycard I might find myself in the same position as before - It did take 3 weeks for Lowell's to issue the SD after their letter saying they were going to but would this give me enough time to issue the CCA letter to these 2 outstanding cards and have enough information to set aside?
I know I need a slap and I am stressing for nothing, but what do you think? Should I continue to let sleeping dogs lie?

Re: Tastyjane's UE diary
yeah, happy Hols JaneWhen Gold isn't enough, there is SA Gold! New to the forum and find the UE route a bit scary? Take a look at my diary here and judge for yourself. I am now saving the money each month that was making little difference to the balance and not a bit of difference to my credit file as a result of finding AAD.

Once county court proceedings have been issued it's too late to send a s.78 CCA (they don't have to respond) and while a creditor knows there is an outstanding CCA request they also know they can't enforce the account anyway. Normally on AAD all the CCA requests are sent at the start of the UE journey but you may be in a different situation. I take the view that either they've got what they need or they haven't and I'd like to know that sooner rather than later.
This is very much a personal opinion of someone who hasn't taken a holiday in four years for fear of finding a SD on the mat when I return. But then PlanB is neurotic and you're probably not

Re: Tastyjane's UE diary
PlanB I am totally neurotic - I started my journey as I discovered this site and a SD landed on my doorstep - the four years previously I had my head in the sand right up to my ears
Neither of the cards I have mentioned (LTSB & what was a Morgan Stanley) have been in touch recently, in fact the MS one has marked my Credit File as gone away! Back in February the advice was to just sit it out with them both until starting the UE clock - but like you, and after it happening to me once, I am terrified that I will arrive back and will have missed my chance to pursue the UE line.... Neither have been paid since late 2008....
We are only away a week, ironically my husband booked it whilst I was in the mist of the stress of the SD to "cheer me up"! (obviously our finances are completely separate ).
I really don't want to release the hounds so close to SB but fear of a SD is a terrible thing
