Something seems to have spooked them. Apex seems to be dragging long dormant accounts out of the woodwork aswell.

Last chance for DCA's to get paperwork before Canada Square say they dont have anything anymore?

Thank you everyone, so much easier to cope with when you don't feel alone

I am quite excited now about my eu journey, just need to sort out lowell's and I will be over the moon. George's party all sorted and I wish I could send you all a plate full of scrummy party food to say thanks

Its usual for this time of the year. DCA's and Creditors are usually going through the books to see what accounts they can stir up before the end of the financial year.

They then decide to keep them (as they can get someone to pay up), sell them, or write them off.

Its likely they are doing this here, and you may get a new DCA contacting you about the accounts soon.

Help! Paul has now reviewed the paperwork I was able to send him and there does not seem an argument to set aside.

I need to deal with this now as soon as possible and will have to negotiate with them to set up a payment plan - I am assuming (and I have asked Paul the question) that I need to do this by letter - I did send my CCA request to them on 31st received by them on 1st Feb and have not as yet heard anything back but the 18 days is ticking.

By setting up a repayment plan I will be acknowledging the debt obviously and I wonder what effect this would have on UE?

I am at a loss at how to negotitate with them so if anyone would help me put together a letter I would be forever grateful...

This is a repeat of my post in the legal section - I am once again in a blind panic....

                Re: Tastyjane's UE diary

                Hi honey,
Wait and see what Niddy says about the UE aspect.

In the meantime, if you go to the Nedcab site here:

North East Derbyshire Citizens Advice Bureau

and save and print off a couple of Common Financial statements, as it will help if you send one to back up your offer.
Once we've had Niddy's input I'll happily help you with the letter once you do that and figure out from that how much you can realistically afford. if you need help completing the Nedcab form just shout. I'm on and off today and I'll have all day tomorrow (from 6am!) to help if necessary.

                  Re: Tastyjane's UE diary

Don't worry about acknowledging it. Likewise forget CCA (s.78) as they don't need to comply (Rankine).

I've posted on the other thread but basically you need to complete the CFS and let Elsa have a look and see what can be done regards making a monthly offer.

This explains the Rankine (Amex) reasons --> allaboutFORUMS

                          Re: Tastyjane's UE diary

                          Evening all,

I got the same letter today as well. Forwarded from previous address as hadn't even thought about telling them I'd moved as not heard from them for 2yrs

I will await and see what happens like everyone else.

Only a small amount so if they do get heavy I'll try and do a deal with them.

                          Good luck everyone

                          Thanks as always

Checked the commencement date of this card - 1st August 1985..... Had been reading up about agreements prior to May 1985 so good news
