Your Egg account will be SB in around 6 months so that is probably why AK are keen to get you to do a deal now...while they can still try to get some money from you. I think I would send them http://www.all-about-debt.co.uk/inde...e-cca-received
I can get in now - would you send this even though they are not threatening anything - they sent a letter back in December saying when they had found the full agreement they would send it and since then I've just had a couple of letters, one asking me to confirm what my address was when I took the card out - I don't think so!! and the other couple offering me money off the total debt. Would I not be best to ignore this and wait for the next as it will be buying me more time? I am happy to send if you think its the best thing to do. Jane x

                  Hi

I agree, I would disregard until they start making threats.

Thanks Niddy, I worked it out in the end and have registered - am going to wait for their next move to send the letter as as it stands they havent sent the 2nd page of the CCA and if I start demanding it they might just find it...... I have told them once it is incomplete if you remember and they said they would send it again when they located the missing page - they have only sent a statement since.... long may it take them to find it. They are asking me to set up a payment plan with them, they say they have been trying to contact me, they haven't. There is absolutely no threats in their letter, in fact all they say is if I don't set up a payment plan that this account may be showing on my credit file and may affect my ability to get credit elsewhere.

What would you do? As there is no threat would you just ignore it or should I now CCA them?

12.05.14 Received another letter from CabotFinancial today saying they have tried to contact me on several occasions andits now important that I contact them to discuss my account. If they don't hearfrom me then they will continue to contact me and at the same stage review youraccount for their next stage of collection.
The thing is I have never sent a CCA to them - my file was marked goneaway and didn't hear from them until 28th December last year when I was advisedto just ignore them. Would you send a CCA request now? Feeling slightly nervousas this goes SB in October of this year..... Any advice gratefully received.

                          Hi Jane

As they have still made no real threats apart from 'reviewing', I think I would be inclined to ignore for now and pass a little more time towards SB, waiting for their next effort.

Think I agree with SW, if anything more threatening turns up then send a CCA request.

Your account will continue to remain on hold until we have fulfilled your requirements in regards to consumer credit act 1974.

I didn't tell them what was missing, they obviously worked it out all by them selves! Do I just ignore this? I suspect I do until the page appears?

20.05.14 – Received a Statementof Account from Aktiv Kapital – just states that by the consumer credit act1974 they must provide me with a statement. This is being provided to you as a result of you falling behind withyour payments under this agreement with your original creditor.
Shows the period 13/05/13 to12/05/14 – opening balance then the fact I’ve made no payments and then closingbalance.
At the bottom of your statement, you will find a gift voucher especially for you. This voucher can be used to pay off youraccount, you just need to pay the remainder of the balance before 31stMay 2014.

The voucher is for £6700.00 over half the debt! Unfortunately I don’t have that sort of moneyand anyway they still haven’t sent all the agreement over; they did state thatthe account was on hold until they found all the pages but I suppose they stillneed to send a statement? I am going toignore unless anyone tells me otherwise…?
