Re: inneedofhelp UE Diary
Update on Barclaycard. CSL have just received the doorstep threat letter. They have previously had Account Sold.
In response dated 17 Sep from CSL.. rather strange. They say
"We write in reply to your template letter dated 15th September and reference to English Common Law.
However iny our letter you made no attempt whatsoever to resolve this matter and we would ask you to profide us with full details of any outstanding dispute and your reason for non payment..."
They go on to say if you are experiencing financial difficulty blah blah blah and we look forward to hearing from you.
Do you think they've had enough of Niddy letters haha?!
I don't think any response is necessary, is it?

Re: inneedofhelp UE Diary
Finally got a CCA from NatWest. It's only taken them the best part of a year.
Arrgh just typed a long message and lost it. Here goes again!
Received are:-
1. Covering letter justifying what they are sending.
2. Signed agreement. Looks legit and looks like the correct signature.
3. Sheet headed "Reverse of Application ... name/address". This looks like it's been added onto the top of a sheet of Ts and Cs. It's only one page and doesn't eg describe late payment charges.
4. Three sets of Ts and Cs. They are each 2 pages. Last one doesn't look complete as it isn't headed "Credit Agreement" like the other 2 are.
5. Letter meant to look like the coverign letter that is sent out with your card. It can't be a copy of the original as it's the wrong address for that. Stapled to it is another set of Ts and Cs. The late payment charge on this is £12 so that signals to me this was not the set in force at the time of the agreement. I'm sure it would have been higher (2002).
6. They have also sent latest statement.
Really not sure about this. Don't see why they have sent 4 different sets of Ts and Cs and whether that makes any difference.
There was PPI on this (probably accounts for a quarter to one fifth of the balance they claim (ie about £500 of £2300). We haven't claimed anything as we didn't want to upset the apple cart.
Advice v welcome!

Re: inneedofhelp UE Diary
Hi inneed of help,
Did you just lose the message? It has happened to me numerous times. When you log into AAD, click the little box "Remember me" alongside (to the right) your user name at the log in. That prevents the software from "timing you out" whilst you are typing epistles.
regards
Garlok

Re: inneedofhelp UE Diary
Hi inneedofhelp
Creditors usually send 2 copies of T&Cs with ccas, those in place when the agreement was taken out and the current T&Cs. I don't know why they sent 4!!
Don't panic over it looking legit, it might not be.
Have a read of Niddy's advice on what to do with agreements while he's awayLet your smile change the world but don't let the world change your smile

I confuse myself as two of us (I normally post as MGS, Inneed is my OH and I normally upload his stuff for him) so I only Remember Me, for me if you see! That probably makes absolutely no sense at all. Anyway hopefully it was just a blip as it's not happened before and it's all good typing practice!!

Re: inneedofhelp UE Diary
Letter from Scotcall - looks like NatWest have appointed them. Usual doorstep threat. Have responded with a combination of account Sold and Doorstep threat (this worked a treat with them for my OH's CapOne which they were dealing with).
Still not sure what response should send to NatWest themselves regarding their 4 sets of Ts and Cs...
