      NatWest update ....

Another letter from Regal Credit. They haven't received any reason for non-payment and want the account settled IN FULL (another DCA that loves capital letters, eh). If they don't recepive a response they'll arrange for Field Collectors (they love underlining too)to visit.

      Sending the doorstep letter...

        Barclaycard update.

Westcot are threatening a doorstep visit (they're all at it aren't they).

We sent the Doorstep letter on 14 July which they have clearly ignored, so what to do next?

                  Update on NatWest...

Letter dated 23 Aug (not sure when it arrived, we were away) from Regal. They are advised by NatWest that they have never received a CCA Request, and they have given the address to send the CCA Request to...

His original CCA was to Westcot who returned his cheque so I presume we do now send the CCA to NatWest themselves with a note at the bottom explaining that we originally CCAd Westcot months ago, who were acting for them at the time?[/QUOTE] Or do we just send plain CCA to NatWest? Or to Regal themselves as they are now doing the chasing? Confused!

                    Hi inneedofhelp,

I assume that the debt has not been sold in Absolute to Regal. That being the case I personally would send the CCA1974 s78 request direct to the original creditor.

12+2days plus a week for contingency days later, if they fail to comply in full you can then tell Regal to take a hike until such times as the defaulting creditor complies with the law.

                    regards
                    Garlok

We've got another letter from Regal... dated 5 September. They say as despite their "repeated attempts" to contact us the account remains overdue, they are recommending to their clients to commence legal action within 7 days... By my reckoning they haven't even allowed the 12+2 for us to have got a CCA back from NatWest so this is a bit poor.

I presume we send Threat of Legal Action... BUT I am not sure - that refers to the account being in dispute. Since the original CCA request was returned by the then DCA and we've only sent the CCA request off this week to the OC, does this work for us?

                                Update on Barclaydard.

We sent Account Sold a couple of weeks ago but CSL have now written again..

They say they can't trace a reply (will have to check the rec delievry on our Account Sold). They DEMAND payment IMMEDIATELY and if we fail comply a DEBT COLLECTOR could call. They do love capital letters!

Think it's time for the Doorstep Bugger Off letter...
