Keep that notice of sums of arrears safely ( does it mention Cabot financial (UK) ltd as the Creditor?) [Note this and file away] No it says Cabot Credit management group as the owner
The Tesco NOA? [Note this and file away] Nothing to file as I don't have one from Tesco
1/ At some point you will need a SAR from Tesco might be the time to do this! Have already done this, the wrote 5 weeks later saying the do not recognise signature, sent letter back to them
2/ Send Cabot a CCA S.77/79 request. Ok will send next week.
I don't know what others think but 1 an 2 above would probably your next move here.
Thank you
This is what I mean here. by Note and file.
By sending the CCA you are in effect bring issues to Cabots attention (which you need to do!)
The SAR will show what information is available or not to Cabot. The background to a loan can also be important. If Cabot proceed with a claim (under the new system) the SAR will help tactically how you deal with this! Its all about you taking control!

I get what you mean about note and file now.
I will send CCA to Cabot next week, and wait until I receive SAR back from Tesco to see what information is in there.

By my calculations, the SAR was requested and signed for over 40 days ago, should I send another letter, or just wait a bit longer?

The Tesco letter 22nd January re SAR probably has phone number and reference. I should simply give them a ring and ask. The SAR remember isn't account specific its what they have about you on their files!

No contact with Halifax since 2012, was a joint account, I asked Halifax to put a hold on the account as I knew ex was going to run the overdraft up. They had me jumping through hoops saying they couldn't as it was a joint account, wrote to them, called them and went into branch on numerous occasions. Ex ran overdraft up so I told Halifax its their problem as the refused to prevent it from happening. Not heard anything since 2012. Will this become SB in June 2018 or is it different for current accounts?
22nd January 2018 statement received from Halifax
6th March 2018 SAR from them shows dispute on account, and that they made the payments on account, there is no DN in there, I don't know now whether they ever issued one.
If they haven't defaulted it, and as I am just over the 6 years since I paid (but not 6 years from default on credit report) will it still become SB?

Hmmm. That's interesting.
What did the Notice of Assignment say about who owns this debt?
This may/may not indicate assignment issues. And FCA licensing issues too.

Look at the wording carefully because 1st Credit Limited is a Group of Companies BUT the Assignment is likely to have been to another company within that Group
Look carefully at these Assignments for the words legal owner/ownership and the EXACT NAME(S) shown..
