Re: In a pickle with NatWest

got a phonecall today at 1pm from Natwest (01212602936) on my mobile, shame it was turned off and shame its a PAYG simcard as i set up to use just for the bank so i know when they ring

if they do ring again, i will tell them to only communicate by letter and i will be recording the call for "security" purposes

So should i reply to it or just keep quiet, because i sent the cca request at the beginning of the month and have heard nothing from them yet bout it,just about the complaint of them calling all the time

Please wait for more replies 1st but I would personally reply with

From reading your letter dated 20th May 2013, you have clearly received my request that contained the statutory fee of £1.00 in the form of postal order numbered xxxxxx.
Because you claim not to have recieved the fee, I shall initiate an investigation through the Post Office which may lead to a Fraud investigation by the Police.
In view of the effort that will need to be spent on chasing a £1.00 postal order would it not be simpler for you to accept that you have received it and process my original request, which is now in default.

                        Postal Orders FAQs
'What should I do if my Postal Order is lost or stolen?'

If your Postal Order is lost in the post then obtain a P58, lost post form, from a branch and send it off to Royal Mail (address on the form) along with proof of purchase no earlier than 15 days after posting. Please keep a copy of your Postal order receipt as we'll require the unique ID number.

If your Postal Order is stolen please report it to the police and obtain a Crime Reference Number. The police need to contact us with this Crime Reference Number. From here call us on 08457 223 344 and we can issue a refund if the order has not been cashed.

Re: In a pickle with NatWest

Think i missed out on my last post that when i emailed them about the phonecalls i also said id sent off a cca request to them,my bad, thats probably why they replied with that. Also the track and trace and royal mail still says progressing through the network as well as the sar request i sent but i know that got delivered because i had a reply from them but the cca request has just been ignored so am i best saying its in default or should i send another special delivery

you rarely need to send another.
Time is on your side now you have stopped payments, so their delay is your gain.
Just wait for their next letter.

Natwest are a joke when it comes to CCA Requests, did you use your real signature? be prepared for another letter saying they wont process it because you never supplied a signature. This happens everytime.

Its usually a sign that they dont hold a valid CCA and are just trying to draw the process out.
