And another email from Direct Group, my email is below their own..........

    Good Afternoon Mr & Mrs,

Sorry for the delay in response. I am afraid i do not have any details of Hamilton Insurance themselves, however, i have referred your query to our support team who provided us with all details that we do hold for Hamilton Insurance customers.

I have been advised that this is not something that Direct Group would have any dealings with but that this query should be directed to Endeavour Personal Finance on contact number 0845 602 8230. As far as i am aware, the department who can assist you on this telephone number have had a note added to your file so they are aware it is something they need to deal with for you.

I hope this information helps you get your matter resolved

    Kind Regards
    A

    Good afternoon

So sorry to bother you again.

We have been checking through paperwork and it seems we did have contact with HFC on the loan we taken out, this was a customer service Speaks form and other paperwork we came across.

However, you did confirm you held no details as such on your database, so wondered if you have details of Hamilton Insurance themselves? We have spoken to Aviva which we assumed taken over from Hamilton but they just passed on your details of Direct Group.

Apologies for the emails, we are trying to come right down to this matter, which is a also being dealt with by the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) on information in regards of our Hamilton policy and other companies involved, thank you once again.

I look forward to hearing from you.

    Kind Regards

Chased up Aviva/Hamilton again and here is the email here received just before the end of the working day today...... (my email send to them before receiving this one is below).

    Hi

Thanks for your email. I have been in contact with HFC administration regarding your query.

They have advised me for you to contact Endeavour Personal Finance directly if your query relates to miss-selling on telephone number 0845 6028230.

We are unable to advise on the sale of PPI, as Hamilton Insurance do not sell PPI, but would only deal with any aspect of claims handling.

    Thanks

    Dear ******

    Policy number

Today we received an e-mail from Direct Group and they do not hold any information on our account.

Here I copy and paste a copy of the e-mail for your records, I previously received details that was passed on to you to contact Direct Group, and I received a letter from Endeavour Personal Finance to contact Direct Group, but it seems they do not hold any information.

They have stated that if our policy was arranged between EPF, & HFC, they would not have the details as this is an area of Hamilton Insurance that they have no involvement with.
Do you still hold any details at all in regards of the policy we held?

As with it being Hamilton, and my policy paperwork I have was underwritten by Hamilton is there another department that I should contact on this matter please? Could this be HFC etc who would know perhaps?

So sorry for the e-mails, it seems we are not getting anywhere on tracking this down and am sure you can understand our frustration in this matter.
    Again thank you, much appreciated.
I look forward to hearing from you.

    Kind Regards

    Hi Billy

Thanks for your time reading all this, confusing i know lol.

The last few weeks, even though the investigations are ongoing, the adjudicator are trying to connect the link relationship from the Broker Click Finance and the Insurer, but because Click Finance dissolved some years ago its difficult.
But my point to them is that when the loan was going through in 2004 it was HFC that Click put us through to who sorted out the insurance on behalf of Click Finance, to have insurance with Hamilton.

So in my opinion its HFC they should pursue and not Hamilton, this proves it from the email received from Direct Group. Direct Group work with Hamilton/Aviva if you know what I mean.

    So confusing lol.

    Re: Hamilton

I do honestly think HFC are involved and found the HFC Customer Services Speaks forms, before the loan went through in 2004 - they had to speak to myself and my hubby separately!
This paperwork was within the SAR, and just because the Adjudicator says HFC said its nothing to do with them, they would say that wouldn't they, and besides HFC only refused when we wrote to them which is shown on the paperwork, so why should the FOS take that copy of the letter seriously, this was in 2008 for heavens sakes!

Its ok for the Adjudicator to say because the broker Click Finance dissolved, to go the insurer direction, but if this policy was underwritten and dealt with on the phone to us by HFC my point if they should be held responsible.

I done something sneaky as well but cannot tell the adjudicator this, because it may be classed as stalking!, but the name of the person on HFC speaks form is on Facebook, I checked and she works for HFC. So they are involved.

They should look at this in a new light and it does seem to make sense from the above email received from Direct Group as well that they've not hear of Click Finance, and if anything they would have had dealings on the insurance by HFC.

    My head hurts!!!!

Just don't seem to be getting anywhere with this one at all!!!!

Emailed Direct Group again to give them more details of our account, and despite Hamilton/Aviva/Endeavour and HFC giving the details for these its a complete waste of time and energy.

The most recent email from Direct group!

    Good Afternoon Mr & Mrs,

We are able to search our database via various avenues. However a search via your surname and postcode would always bring up any information held on our database (providing we hold the details) regardless of the policy type or who it was sold by.

As i am unable to locate any information in relation to you from these personal details i can only assume that we do not hold anything for you.

If your policy was arranged between Endeavour Personal Finance and HFC we would not have the details as this is an area of Hamilton Insurance that we have no involvement with.

Again i'm afraid i only have the number i have already provided for queries of this nature.

I apologise i cannot help any further

    Kind Regards

    Re: Hamilton

Well it seems that the adjudicator don't believe HFC has anything to do with it, so hopefully by the time he receives my paperwork he will see there are lots of undewriting work from HFC.

And he states that HFC says their not responsible, but they would say that wouldn't they?

Here is the copy of the email just received from the adjudicator.

    Mr & Mrs

Thank you for your emails today and yesterday.

I have noted the attachment you have sent and have been able to access it. Although I do not believe it is useful in terms of your claim thank you for sending it to me.

With regards to your previous two emails, as stated before if you wish to contact companies regarding your case then please feel free to do so. Although HFC has already stated to FOS that they are not responsible as the product was not sold by them, it was sold by Click Finance. Direct Group clearly state they do not have any record of you on their system so I do not believe it is appropriate to continue your claim against them. Hamilton Insurance were the company that underwrote your PPI policy.

I have not as yet received the paperwork you have detailed. However today's post has yet to be distributed as I write this email. I will email you once it is received.

    Yours sincerely

    Re: Hamilton

I have a feeling we are going to make a different approach on this one.

Well I emailed Direct Group Insurance, the adjudicator said there would be no harm in doing so, since Hamilton/Aviva and also Endeavour gave us the details of these, this was originally to check out the agency relationship with Click Financial (who dissolved some years back) with the insurer.

However, over the last few days I have been getting all the info together from the SAR received about 2 years ago and I have lots of it from HFC bank as well, and going by the email received it looks like HFC must have arranged the insurance with Hamilton and as we cannot take it up with the broker because they are no longer active its been said to do this through the underwriter/insurer, all this time its been about Hamilton and I do have a feeling this should be HFC and not Hamilton.

Check the email received this morning from Direct Group, do you think they let the cat out of the bag on this one perhaps??

    Good Morning Mr & Mrs

Unfortunately we have been unable to locate any information relating to you on our database from the details provided.

Direct Group are an insurance administration company and we do have some dealings with certain Hamilton Insurance products. However i am afraid we are not aware of the relationship between Click Finance and Hamilton Insurance.

Many of the policies we administer for Hamilton Insurance are sold/arranged via HFC bank. We would normally direct a customer with this type of query to HFC on 0870 0100453.

I am sorry we cannot be of more assistance

Received an email back from the adjudicator in regards of the above letter shown on the above post - I posted earlier today and here is the email just now received below.

    Dear Mr & Mrs *****

Thank you for your emails today.

Essentially the fact that Click Financial are dissolved does not really change your situation. We are still unable to look at your complaint against Click Financial. The fact that they are not in existence anymore simply makes it more difficult to establish a link between them and Hamilton Insurance.

I do not see any harm in you sending a letter to Direct Group. As it stands at present we are looking to establish an agency relationship between Click Financial and Hamilton insurance. As yet we have been unable to establish that link. If Direct Group are able to assist in any way this maybe useful.

As expressed in earlier emails, please forward to me any documentation which you feel would assist me in establishing the aforementioned link. I believe in a previous email you said you would send in application details taken from Click Finance, details of the lender Endeavour Personal Finance and brokers commission paperwork. This maybe help.

    Yours sincerely

    Re: Hamilton

    Thought I would do my own digging and if anything useful came through the post or email I would forward them to the adjudicator who is dealing with my reclaim, so last week other than writing to Hamilton/Aviva who did not know anything about Click I forwarded a letter to CEO as well, this morning a letter came through from EPF who I assume the CEO forwarded me details of the letter to them and here is the response here;

    Acc No ********

    18 February 2011

    Mr & Mrs XXXXX
    Property ***********

We write further to your letter dated 11 February 2011, informing us of your complaint.

As you are aware the loan and Payment Protection Insurance was sold by Click Finance, and they have now dissolved.

We can advise you of the number of the Direct Group Insurance who would be able to advise you further, you may contact them on 0800 051 1328.

Should you require further assistance please do no hesitate to contact our Customer Services Department on 0845 602 8230, Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.00pm, who will be pleased to help.

    What a load of B****X!

The guy from the insurance company it stating that he never heard of Click Finance, I have also confirmed that I have wrote to the CEO. In fact the letter reached them today.

And the email reply is saying to get in touch with Endeavour, he first said he spoken to HFC administration dept, who have said that we should contact Endeavour!
    Back round in circles.
Saying that its making me really think now, cos we do have loads of HFC documentation from when this loan was taken out, so maybe I should go back to make them liable instead..........drat!

    Email as below received.

    Hi

Thanks for your email. Apologies for the late reply. I've not heard of Click Finance, therefore have contacted our H.F.C. administration team. In order to answer your queries they have asked me to ask you to contact the Endeavour Personal Finance Customer Services Team on 0845 6028230, who will be happy to assist you.

Hope this is of some assistance.
