Re: myself v MBNA advice please
yea you can settle it at the point you got served the claim form - obviously if it got that far then you'd need to be going down the "i'll pay you £X per month to settle".......Originally posted by davidm View Postif i ignore it and they do go that route will i still be able to offer a monthly payment, before going to court ,i would like to see how far they will go for a £500 debt ,
i would like to take your advice and ignore them .
Its a small debt, don't stress. MBNA have £20k debtors on here that have not yet been taken to court, now that said never compare accounts but still - if they do try it on over £500 then seriously, they need a slap.

Re: myself v MBNA advice please
dude this is a £500 debt. Tell them to get fucked!
However, as it is so small I am inclined to agree, just get it paid off - offer them a fiver if you want to, or ignore it. I know what I'd do - it'll cost more than the debt to pursue this in court - if they do then they ought to be brought to charge for breach of process and rushing through unnecessary claims, i.e. direct breach to the CPR.
makes me mad - however, it's your call. If I was you i'd ignore them and if they issue a claim then I'd just make an offer of like £200 to settle it!

Re: myself v MBNA advice please
Hi niddy, this looks a lot like my cca ( mbna) does this not apply to his account " This is relative to one of the two minute flyers that was highlighted in CABOT UK LTD v BACHELLIER [2010]

Re: myself v MBNA advice please
No thats only the copy, it starts correctly..... however we're still gonna blag it, we don't bend over that easily for nobosyOriginally posted by alangee View PostNiddy
Is it the way it is copied, or does the back - page 2 of 2 - start off in the middle of a sentence?
Alan

He'll be fine, it's a risky move for MBNA to attempt to enforce these agreements so we always blag it first and foremost and see how heavy they want to get then we reassess things......

Re: myself v MBNA advice please
Its been badly microfiched, but it is the beginning of the sentence / paragrah an says "These are paragraphs 1....."Originally posted by alangee View PostNiddy
