        OK forgive me I am scared.. at the moment they are quiet.. fi I send the CCA will they not rise up and demand payment now and start being a pain?

        Do you know what... looking at all our cards and accounts we have paid them back more than once but those stupid % rates mean we still owe.. I am so angry right now at their greed.. they refuse my plee to freeze the % rates but happily sell our debts for 10% of the value... ffs... makes me mad.

          If you're paying them £20 now and then they will be back for more anyway - I'm afraid all this is doing is just preventing the alleged debt from becoming statute barred.

          I know its easier said than done but don't be scared. Sending off the CCA request actually should shut them up for a bit because while they are in default of your request they shouldn't demand payment and cannot enforce the debt.

          It also shows them that you won't be walked over. Unless its post 4/2007 there will be a decent chance they will struggle to find the agreement but until you send off that request you will never know.

          Also consider that interest and charges. Unless you do a CCA request you won't actually know whether they have applied these things according to their contractual rights.

            OK... *roar* have spoken to Hubby about this and he says "GO FOR IT!"... we have looked at all our debts and can see we have paid them off (but for the %) so poo to them.. we asked for help in 2011.. they said no... so now on Monday a mass CCA request batch will be sent out..

            Thank you all SO much... I can do this can't I?? ha ha!!! yay!

                  Depends if you signed a fresh agreement for a fresh product in 2009. If not and they just changed it, then the original agreement date of 2005 is the one to go by

                    Of course you can do it!!

                    We've all felt nervous at the start but you become empowered by fighting back. We'll be with you all the way.

                    If you're going to send cca requests for all your debts (and you should) have a read of this first and then set up your own diary as shown.

                            OK forgive my ignorance and lilly livered yo-yoing (I feel incredibly guilty trying to UA my debts.. I will get over this as the anger of the % rate grows)

                            Why am I doing the CCA for debtas that HAVENT been sold yet? Aren't the original companies more likely to have my agreement? Wouldn't it be better to wait until they have sold it or am I grabbing the wrong end of the stick here?

                              The UE process is just fighting back against the Creditors. After all, they have not been kind to you have they. People have debts and expect to be treated decently when they get int difficulties. The plain truth is that they treat people like dirt, so we fight back. None of us would be here if creditors were reasonable.

                              The CCA request is the first step in the journey. It has nothing to do with the debt being sold, so CCA request goes to all creditors as a first step
