Re: Could they be UE?
They have now gone back to sending monthly statements.
The last letter they sent, ages ago was asking me for a response to their letter saying as it was after the date where it can be digitally signed and therefore isthey want an answer. Which I never gave, just iggyied them.
How can they prove it? It was not 'signed'.
Just gonna blag em more and see what they get up to?
They are, as usual, adding charges.

Originally posted by FlowerpowerThey'd want it paying of course, but the amounts are probably too small for them to bother with legal action. I think you mentioned somewhere you are in receipt of benefits, if so all they'd get is £1/mth even if they went to court so hardly worth the trouble.

Re: Could they be UE?
That's my thinking too FP.
It would take them 20 years or so just to re-coup the court costs.

Re: Could they be UE?
But wouldn’t they pass them onto Reliable Collections and they’d be continuously adding charges on monthly after an initial £100, that way the debt would increase and they’d want it paying with it ever increasing.

Re: Could they be UE?
If it were me I wouldn't be paying them. They're unlikely to do much for those amounts. Of course, it's up to you.
I've been blagging a couple of mine for more than 2 years...

Why offer a token payment, thereby admitting the debt, and then not pay it?
EDIT: just read back and you were paying them in March 2012 so only 4 months difference in SB. How much is owing on these accounts?

Re: Could they be UE?
Re your e-mail Niddy;
So it looks like they’re going to keep pushing for payments, I'll offer them a token payment and I know for sure that they'll pass them onto Reliable Collections who will straight away add on £100 to each account as they did when they got mine a couple of years ago. Can they still do that, if they do, it's going to be protested against and in the end, not paid.
