            Nooooooooooooo

Ok, in future never be so quick - what was the rush to do it immediately?

Can you do it again....? Use the finished version as above and this time, when they ask for phone number use this --> Free Number to Issue Creditors - allaboutFORUMS

We give out a free number as we have our own phone number system as well.

Never give them this info unless you have to

Ok no harm done - but as you do not owe anything, whatever you do do not admit to it lol. If they say to you "you owed £80 in 2005" you would say "No I did not, I closed the account in 2005"....

                Are you following....

Yeah got you ha! So do I ask for all dealings in writing then? Or just deal with whoever phones?

If they phone you simply say "please respond in writing only"....

They may well call you now to establish identity and in doing so may try and trick you into admitting you owe them money - whatever you do, pause and think before responding. You do not owe anything, remember that!

As far as you know the account was closed in 2005 - stick to that, you'll be fine.

Thanks for the help guys fingers crossed for a positive outcome. Look whatever they say this account had a £200 overdraft limit when it hit this amount in June 2008 then surely that's when I should of been defaulted but no they just kept adding interest until defaulting me in nov 2010. Surely they have to accept they made mistakes on this account

So they defaulted you as a result of you exceeding the overdraft limit? As for how long it took them to default you : arse holes mate!

                            Re: Lloyds default

Well they just kept renewing the overdraft even tho there was no activity on the account from 2005, so for nearly six years they just added interest until it reached £312 then closed account and defaulted me. But yeah there was only a £200 overdraft limit and it was past this for nearly three years before they did anything.

Well guys can't quite believe it but received a letter today from Lloyds agreeing to remove the default from my credit file, however they have said I must settle the outstanding balance, they have refunded all interest to the account which leaves a balance of £120. Got to say I can't believe they have done it. I haven't checked my credit file yet as I'm assuming it will only be removed once I pay outstanding balance, but it states clearly they will have default removed.
