Sorry but some of what you said is rollox.
Labour in 97 took over an ecomony that had money in the pot, what they did was spend it.
Yes the cons had their issues to, like in the 90's, mortgages trippled over night, but somehow things werent as bad, people managed, today everything is effected.
And dont forget, just how many public sector jobs labour created during its 15 year rein, public sector jobs paid by tax payers, at least private sector is funded by company money.
And if we want to talk about how great Gordon Brown was, lets not forget he sold our gold at an all time low, and lost us quite a lot of money.
Im not saying Cons are any better, but its funny, how they always seem to leave office with a country in a better position than it was in previously under labour.
