Looking for some help, just as I am starting to get myself on my feet a default shows up at my old address for £123 to 'BT Consumer'. The strange thing is, I also have a settled account to them which ends before this default started.

For long after the 6 year minimum, you've kept your head down, under radar, moved a few times perhaps and have had zero contact with the credit card people.

You know a few went to CCJ but those are way past 6 years as well and strangely, some never bothered...

Around 15 credits cards, none used since mid 2005.

1 charge on property in 2005, 2 in 2006 and 1 in 2008. These debts cleared when property sold in 2008. According to Trust Online (checked 2010), none of the others have been to CCJ.

How come no one has legally challenged this draconian 6 year rule for defaults etc I'm sure their must be grounds. Some interesting comments made in a thread I came across on another forum.
