    Your symptoms are basically pointing to CPU overheating which to me means your CPU thermal putty is dry. You need to buy some CPU putty - easy fix really but you'd need someone to do it as you're not going to manage this yourself Nanna

        Just remove the CPU fan from your mobo and check if the contact between the metal plate of the CPU and the heatsink on mobo is dry/cracked. If it is scrape it off (gently) and reapply so it's a sticky / tacky contact. That allows a gradually increasing +20% +CPU clock so will resolve any overheating issues you *may* have.

        Its not a psu (power) issue as that won't allow start-up ie it'd be dead. What you describe sounds like dry thermal putty overheating the CPU.

          Than for all the info mate really great full for your time .OH trying now Maplins only 2mins away and open till 8
