    Re: Economy Airline incident

    Hi Millie,
I would be unhappy (very) with that GPs attitude I'm afraid.

However did you see the news yesterday? Specifically the bit that Jack Straw has exposed about the insurance industry and personal injury claims?

So much for the DPA when money has to be made.

    regards
    Garlok

        Re: Economy Airline incident

        Milly,

Yesterday afternoon he receives a call from another firm of lawyers - he had not phoned them they tell him that they had been reffered from claims direct and at this times had not phoned the insurers and again he never called them either the only company that could have passed his x directory number was Thompsons. Bearing in mind what is transpiring with the insurance companies who are selling on leads for £1k a pop. Perhaps I am synacle but supposing the girl who took o/h call at Thompsons said it was too small for them and then passed on a lead for personal gain to another so called claims specialist. But the lesson here is stay away from the big guys they don't play nicely.
This relates to this article from yesterday no less:

        http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-13922554

It is a referal fee and thompsons had no right what so ever to be treating you data like that I would be making a DPA complaint to the ICO and thompsons and seeking that fee as compensation.

As the ICO are investigating this practice of referal fees I would imagine they would be interested to hear from you.

        Regards

          Milly,

If you wish to take the above further it is probably best to do it in another thread so that it does not detract from this incident

If you need things editing let me know, I can do it via database....

Takes 2 seconds. However, the company does not need to be protected, it should remain on show as it was Ryan Air and this has no bearing on anything, I doubt very much they will frequent such sites as this!

                    Re: Economy Airline incident

As it is going for litigagtion I wanted it in a more private area - but since you don't have a private area Jen suggested that we take out the name XXXXair and I agreed to that, but maybe now I tend now to agree with Niddy that XXXXair maynot think to look around here unless anything is tagged and it comes up on Google that is the only way it could be found.

As for Thompsons, I cannot prove catorgorically that they did the deed, but it really is a real coincidence that after that call he gets a call from another firm. This is the trouble with these firms they are very slippery, but the one thing that proves to me that I am pleased my o/h did not go with them.

My o/h has been feeling really unwell today and seems to be going into a bit of depression and fatique he has even cancelled his appointments for tomorrow up in town as he does not have the energy. This is having an effect on his work and I will tell him that he must make notes of lost time due to this.

He has though made an appointment with the GP on Thursday on a proper appointment not on an emergency one so hopefully he will have more joy. I have told him that if he gets no where on this we will have to go to a private doctor - one we know of and hopefully he will be more than happy to assist.
My site name is after General Tutts who won a famous battle at Newbury many moons ago 1643 - I hope to win all my battles and will fight to the bitter end.

                      Re: Economy Airline incident

                      Hi Milly,

Having fought the NHS (Stafford Hospital) right through their flawed and corrupt complaints procedure, the Health Service Ombudsman (the health service commissioner at the time , now care quality commissioner) refused to uphold my complaint, HOWEVER in that last letter under his hand it stated that:-

"it is a matter of Statute and NHS Regulation that a person's general practitioner is the sole person responsible for the patient's health, welfare and treatment."

That has proven to be a thorn in the side of those that would transgress right from senior consultants to junior doctors. Perhaps your GP needs a sharp reminder of their responsibility under these rules, plus the rules of the General Medical Council to which he/she must abide in order to still have a career.

By the way everything I said about Stafford and more has been vindicated and I have had a personal apology from a previous Secretary of State for Health over that issue. Too late though when your health is wrecked so I wouldn't give them room to even draw breath if they are screwing you around.

                      regards
                      Garlok

                                thanks PF

I am back albeit with one arm. Not able to use my right arm for 4 weeks.

Claim is now with Solicitors who are acting on a no win no fee basis. A small firm but nevertheless a westend firm of solicitors with only 2 partners but this particular solicitor which hubby is usinf is a personal injury specialist and willing to take them on.

Hector, I think when they changed the title and threads to take out the name of the airline some got lost in the process it was nothing which you said I am sure.
