      Just one quick question,

If all managers above manager (A) as been use to ONLY assess me on my matrix, does that make them excluded from any possible appeal?

There are no managers left to use for an appeal in my opinion = Unfair dismissal.

Who does it say your right of appeal is in your handbook?

Am I reading this right following your last meeting they have got a director and the managing director to score your matrix? Did they score all other 5 individuals in the pool too?

Re: Redundancy chosen by matrix scoring

I'm on my phone so sorry to ask another question, just for clarity they have stated and minuted that the first person to score you was your area supervisor but he was also in the pool?

If this is the case it's a nonsense.

It sounds by their complete over reaction, that they realise they are on dodgy ground! If they cannot demonstrate that all individuals in the pool have been reassessed they have just dug themselves a bigger hole!

              Yes you are correct there.

After the first meeting he the manager (A) said he has been on the phone to his legal advisors to got more advice.

I think he may need more help than that..haha

He seems afraid to answer any questions now without calling the legal advisors.

When he handed over the minutes to the meeting about an hour after the 2nd meeting he said "any questions just ask, but you might be better asking yourself you seem to know better than me".

                Hell I do, 'what a D%^& head'.

Re: Redundancy chosen by matrix scoring

So have they called a meeting for the 18th? What you don't want to do is highlight to them their mistakes as they would have chance to rectify them but honestly if they haven't rescored all individuals then this is, in my mind definitely unfair. To be honest the first scoring by a manager who is apparently in the pool is ridiculous and again in my opinion is either them over reacting as they have taken advice about selection pools following your last meeting but if you do go to tribunal from my experience I believe a tribunal chairman would see this as them paying lip service to a fair process and changing facts to cover poor process!

Don't forget if it gets to tribunal they will have to provide minuted notes, witness statements and their representative would be under oath!

Sit back now, continue working to the highest standard and wait. If I was coordinating this programme you would be last on my list to be honest unless the other 5 were pregnant

Sorry to sound a little dumb, but I don't understand this bit.

                        Cheers.

First unwritten rule of redundancy "don't touch pregnant women"! Too many opportunities to leave the company open to a discrimination claim!

Haaa yes that bit I do know.

There isn't realy a selection pool rather that the four people that are getting made redundant, they have not consulted with any other emplyees other then the said FOUR, on the reassessment of my matrix at the piont of telling me I was reassessed by 3 more managers, it looks like he is trying to cover his tracks and trying to correct his OOPSY, but never said at any one time that he has reassessed any of the other empolyees in my area I can confirm this with his original reassessment with using an empolyee who was suppossed to be within the origanal selection pool, he as messed up big time and he knows it.

He as overlooked all these finer details and not acted fairly within the laws of redundancy and made a massive hole for an unfair dismissal claim.

The fact that he as used up all the possible manager by means of using them to assess me on the matrix 3rd time round (I know ridiculous) as excluded me from any chance of appeal (any other finer piont of unfair dismissal).

                            Cheers
