  • Chronic Disease & Benefits

    Hi folks

I have not properly researched this as yet, but does anyone know if there are benefits for people who have Chronic illnesses, such as chronic kidney disease (CKD).

I assume this will vary, in my case my hubby works full time, and I am a full time carer for my son with special needs. I have been diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease, currently @ stage 3, this can however move on stages and move back, but there is no cure for this condition.

So benefits in mind would be, for Gas/Electric/Water etc???

    Thank you ;-)

    Re: Chronic Disease & Benefits

    Hi hun,
The British Kidney Patient Association might be a good place to start. They do grants which I think you can apply for direct or via a social or health worker:

Grant Information for Patients | British Kidney Patient Association [BKPA]

I'll have a look around in the morning, I'm sure there must be other sources.

    Sending big (((hugs)))
