Part of the failed Bradford & Bingley was sold to Santander and Lloyds TSB bought the failed HBOS.
As for sexual liaisons, however, it's anyone's guess.

Re: Claiming Charges (HSBC)
Just got a letter back from HSBC offering £608.14 PPI back and they will offset it against the loan I took out so it will reduce the outstanding balance I owe.
6516.72 Total
1276.72 Paid
5240.00 Balance
608.14 PPI Offer
4631.86 BalanceI used to be afraid of the post... Now I look forward to it - so I can stick it to the DCA's

Re: Claiming Charges (HSBC)
I've had to put everything on hold due to my HD crashing (with all my documents on it), mauijim os going to be working on it and it will be revived.
Anyways, I was wondering what reason can I give the Banks to give me the charges they have levied on the accounts I had - as far bask as 20 years.I used to be afraid of the post... Now I look forward to it - so I can stick it to the DCA's

Bear in mind, although you can reclaim further back than 6 years, the banks are now trying to limit refunds to 6 years citing SB kicks in, for them, as much as it does for us so don't be surprised if they try and fob you off and only pay out the last 6 years.
Obviously, this is correct - after 6 years it would become SB ordinarily but now when you never knew about it, hence we argue for a full refund based on the documents retreived via SAR.....

Good luck
Could I possibly use the 'hardship' line, I need to check the dates of when the charges were and whether I was unemployed at the time for closed accounts way back, what other reason could I give?I used to be afraid of the post... Now I look forward to it - so I can stick it to the DCA's

Good luck
so for example account a closed on 20th dec 2009 therefore the SB date to me would be 21th dec 2015 (or 2014 in scotland)
make sense
where as an account still running would have no SB date until last transaction otherwise you could claim that on CC if a purchase was make on 1st jan 2001 and you've been paying min payments then on you could argue (like the banks are arguing) that that transaction SB date is 2md jan 2007 (or 2006 in scotland)
So in all honesty i wouldnt take the 6 year rule crap from them in slightest.
Open account reclaim from account inception with no barring on time limits as still active
Closed account reclaim latest 6 years from being close or last transaction.
thats my take and thats what i would argue to them especially if you had the statements etc to tally the charges etcI am an IT Professional with a Background in most Microsoft Based Technologies.
