Don't forget he is waiting for his A level results next week. Only medalist to be distracted by his education.

Tom Daley didn't lose...he won a bronze medal and only missed out on the gold by 12 points....nothing when the scores were 550/560. He looked so happy to get the bronze...none of the prima donna stuff you get with some other competitors.

Mo Farah's face was a picture when he realised he'd won the 5000 metres.

If Tom Daly had achieved the same score 4 years ago he would have easily won gold! Unfortunately the event was of a very high standard.

Looks brilliant, let's hope this success can be repeated. Just settling down with G&T to watch the closing ceremony.

Just a reminder that whilst the Olympics are coming to a close that is not the end as the Paralympics are about to start.

I have made a thread because I believe that the Paralympians deserve the same recognition as the Olympians.

There are again many events and I too am looking forward to this just as much.

Unfortunately I think it is going to be on Channel 4, so the television coverage will not be as good.

I thought it was a brilliant closing ceremony. I am really going to miss my sporting fix, though perhaps I can now get on with some of the work that I have to do!!!
