yeah, Ottawa is a border town with Quebec a lot of french speakers there.

Calgary its worth it to them with the stampede to have lots of french lol its a money thing. All the documents in Canada are translated as there is 2 official languages. You will find more touristy places in non french Canada have french stuff available

London is buzzing at the moment! (and traffic is actally lighter than normal - well it was this morning lets see how it goes on the way home)

I thought the opening was fun and very well organised - and I thought having the youngters light the flame was amazing. They had Dame Kellie Holmes and the young girl she nomintated - this girl has acutally been mentered by her and is still in a progamme traning - so this young lady could be our future... i liked it.

I don't think West Ham are having the stadium now - don't think they could acutally afford it - think it is still up for grabs - i think it would be a terrible idea for West Ham to move from Upton Park - they would never fill that stadium week in week out - plus the fact they have been in the Championship for a couple of seasons and are only just back up in the Premier - lets see........

I thought the Opening Ceremony was first class

Although watching 203 countries walk in got a bit boring but you have to expect that.

          Danny Boyle did us proud.

Also been enjoying the events especially womens hockey last night, made me go off that crappy football game i started watching....I went back to the Hockey

London Olympics - says it all for me!

I reckon they used French first because if they used English then every bugger would cheer to drown out the French speaker.

Couldn't give a flying fig about the organisers, just the athletes, they do not seem up their usual standard in my opinion, they can only do their best and I am sure they are but I think they have been hyped up by the press too much. I love bike racing but it was wrong of Cav to blame negative tactics of the other teams - just not good enough on the day Mark!

A friends daughter went to see the Equestrian or Dressage stuff yesterday and returned with a plain white t shirt that had 'London2012' on the front - twenty effin quid, you could get the same thing in Nottingham off the market for a couple of quid, and probably better quality, jeeez what a rip off.

No one in that picture looks particularly hacked off to me, anyway at least the power didn't go off, that would have made them feel right at home .

I did watch a bit of that game and in all fairness it was crap!! The official telling them to step it up a bit should have done the trick but you wonder whether there may be some odd betting taking place
