I really feel for you - I couldn't sit in the same room with that man for an hour let alone spend social time within his company. Although that said, I wonder if away from TV he's a quieter person...

We use Paul for cases where someone gets taken to court. He wins. He's good. In fact in my opinion he's one of the leaders in this field and so yea, we like to pass people over to him if we think that he can help.

Also wanted to comment. I have just come over from the other forum too and find it so refreshing and supportive here.

I'm sh!t scared as this is at the start of my journey and I'm still learning but no doubt I'll soon be a pro - if that's possible

It's ok, better late than never and yes I do remember, MSE has never really recovered since. Too many people over there are too judgemental and go unchecked, yet those that give out decent info are cast aside.

That may be because the control freaks are rarely flattered by those who know about that of which they write. The jerks and the numpties do boost the pitiful egos of the putative moderators, though, so the idiots remain and further pollute that site.

What I cannot understand, however, is why Martin Lewis - supposedly an expert in saving money - paid any wages to MSE Andrea.

That's because they've banned everyone who ever knew the answers.... so the only thing left now is for them to tell people to check their credit files and/or tell people they've been suckered 'coz "if it's not on your credit file it's stat-barred".... or, to stop being a nasty debt avoider and pay the lovely collection man £1 a month until you're green, mouldy and rancid....

I'm not sure what kind of legal advice gets dished out on there these days but in his time on there, our Paul was perhaps the only one who knew what he was on about re. court papers, preparing a defence and so on.... so when they banned him, there was no-one to turn to for legal guidance at all for a long while.....

Can i just ask everyone

Have you any PPI to reclaim
Have you any illegal charges to reclaim (I won't tell you what the illegal ones are)
Is it on your credit file? (If not don't bother paying)

Oh and if you have a payday loan only ever pay loan +1 months interest come what may
