Re: Lenders given fast-track to switch your unpaid credit card debt on to your property

all this is very worrying, yet again those that can least afford are the ones being mad e to pay let alone lose their homes that many are struggling to keep together ,may as well throw the towel in cos it seems to me that no mater how we try to get on and back on track some lawlord or other beats us down with a big stick.Unless of course our Nid knows better!!!

      Totally agree FP.

Big step from CO to repo.

Think really this is just bringing above board what they been up to for some time.

Lots of us have CO's seemingly but havnt seen any of them being converted into repos.

The CO was as previously stated on the thread not the most difficult thing for them to get.

Now it just becomes a formality once they get the CCJ if they so wish.

As I understood UE was about not ending up in court in the first place so no CCJ. If no CCJ then none of this happens.

I for one would be reading my mail quickly and reporting back here asap and letting the experts guide us.

They seem to have done pretty well so far.

Re: Lenders given fast-track to switch your unpaid credit card debt on to your property

As Niddy says every debt is different and therefore anyhing can happen to any debt.

This forum seems to be about a well tested method that seems to work.

If the creditors were so sure they were right and we were wrong they would be testing the waters.

          Seemingly they arent so sure.

Good timely warning to the team here gives them time to react, give advice and therefore gives us the chance to be proactive.

              FP.

Totally agree with you that abide by the CCJ and then the CO wont come into play.

And also agree avoid the CCJ in the first place which is what this forum is all about and then this all doesnt matter anyway.

Like I have said before this change which has got us all in a flutter is really just formalising what was going on before for houseowners.
If they think they have a good chance of success they would try it. Why not if they win we pay for the privledge.

If they are not so sure they dont and hence write all these lovely letters to us all.

Wonder if the banks own the printerink companies

Didn't someone here recently get such a threat (note I use the term threat) for enforced sale over a very small debt?

Any wisdom here for Spent2much? Does seem to be an odd situation?

                    Hi,
That is the way to go I got a ccj on an enforceable debt I was to slow in responding to Lewis debt collections and they took me to court within weeks easily affordable repayments set(thanks judge) so no real problems but the moral to this is answer the bastards.

Lewis group did that to me they went straight for a ccj i only pay £3.89 a month on it,but when we have sorted the charge out to a reduced amount i am going to find the details of that ccj and get it reduced to the origianl £1 a month until payplan offered them more .

Do you mean they have increased a CCJ payment without a court variation? Or have done it through the court?

no i had only just started with payplan and they
said to offer them £3.89 instead of a £1 on the court form, if i had know now what i know i would have left it at a £1, but i trusted payplan and thought it was the best thing . How stupid of me huh ?

Yeah think thats what most of us feel when you start to become enlightened about this wonderful industry.

If it helps did the same thing with our CCJ but this was through the creditor bullying us into it.

Then you start to learn realise what a bunch of tossers they are and re assert your rights.

We just dropped ours back to the CCJ amount and wrote a nice letter telling the creditor to accept it or perhaps we should go to court and see what a judge would say about what they had been up to.

Not one peep from them since at the old CCJ level.

So not stupid of you at all. Think we all been there.

If we don't know then we are bullied so it seems, i will have to apply for it to be reduced through the court i think

                                Hi,
Same here always getting letters from Irwin Mitchell and Lewis group asking to increase ccj payments Mitcchell asked us to pay extra £100 pm told them where to go and would only pay what the judge ordererd as that is all we can afford.
