    A new survey by Ipsos MORI for the Royal Statistical Society and King’s College London shows just how wrong public opinion can be on key social issues such as crime, benefit fraud and immigration.

    The research lists ‘top ten’ popular misperceptions:

    Interesting, but a good statistician can prove anything. Where did they get their statistics from? If they were relying on official sources, they are likely to have been skewed in the first place, so their perception may be a misperception anyway.
