          Hi Gayle,
Attached is a compilation taken from some of Paul's legal threads...there's a great explanation of Part 18...near bottom of page. There's a sample part 18 letter...substitute your own questions.

Also...as asked earlier..did this arrangement/£800 balance show on your credit file at the time?

Re: HFO Taking Action Against You

Heard of 2 more claims from HFO struck out in the last 2 days. One for not supplying docs, one for a SB debt they were too stupid not to give up on.
            They are not doing well.

                          No..shouldn't be.
If they had though, and then reverted, it would have been helpful.

                            what type of offer letter?

My hands are tied on confidentiality grounds but i am more than happy to ask any client if they are prepared to provide the individual with a copy of correspondence.

most clients are more than happy to kick a DCA in the nuts help a fellow member

Offer letter meaning a letter from HFO where they've written out to the debtor offering a deal, ie "pay 30% in settlement etc"....

                              I think that's what's required matey

oh they are standard crap mass produced and often contended to have been sent in error.

They arent truly binding either in my view
