I had the same letter from Lowell, this was for a Lloyds TSB CC, and a few months later I received a letter saying that they couldn't find it at all and that they dropped the chase, so I believe you will receive the same letter as I did, and keep it in a safe place in case you will need it in the future.

        Hi Again,

Tis only me with the latest update

I have heard again from Lowell Portfolio I and this is the highly exciting letter they sent:

I am afraid we have not received a copy of your credit agreement from HSBC yet. They are still trying to retrieve it from their archives. We have placed your account on hold until we receive further information.

When we have received it from them we will post it to you straightaway.

We won't write to you again until we have the agreement, but if you have anymore questions in the meantime, please do phone us on .....

So, looks like we may have an AWOL CCA here ... WOO HOO!!!
        Many thanks,

        Dave

            Hi All,

Hope this finds you all keeping well and currently hassle free from the muppets and idiots out there

Anyway, I received a letter from Lowell today saying that .... drum roll .... THAT HSBC CAN'T FIND THE ORIGINAL AGREEMENT due to the length of time since the card was taken out!!! Therefore I declare this:

            RESULT!!!

Many thanks to you all regarding this!!

As you can see from the other debts, I haven't been contacted by any for over a year now and 3 out of the three aren't even on my Credit file (neither is the Lowell/HSBC one). So, fingers crossed in 2 years time I'll be all clear after the Transcom/Paragon one comes off!!!
            Many thanks,

            Dave

                              Hi Guys and Girls,

Just a quick little question based on pure curiosity. This question is based on the fact that Transcom/Paragon sent a copy of a CCA that is technically unenforceable which I challenged (thanks Niddy) and have not heard anything from them. Also, as far as I recall, they never sent a Default Warning Letter before issuing a Default on my account in 2008.

What my question is, would it be worth challenging them to get the default removed given they never sent a warning letter before issuing it?

I am asking as the default is the last remnant of my stupidity and is due to remain on my file for a further 2 years. Not necessarily an issue but my partner and I would like to move (personal reasons) and obviously the default will cause an issue with getting a mortgage, despite my partner having a large amount of equity (70k+) in her property.

I suspect it'll be a case of just see it out but just thought I would throw this out there to you most excellent bunch of dudes and dudettes (Bill & Ted's fan here)
                              Many thanks,

                              Dave
