Do Equifax as well..... no need for CallCredit as their info is useless as no lender exclusively searches them - but you do need both Equifax & Experian as some lenders only report to one, or the other whilst others report to all 3.

OK though did try Equifax but got quickly peeved by the messing about. Filled in the Online request just to then be told I had to phone them up. Phoned them and spoke to lady who struggled a little with English to be told I had to answer a series of questions and then send in original copies of various agreements/statements to confirm. Seemed like a lot to be doing. When I originally signed up to Experian a few years ago, out of curiousity, I entered details and "bang" my report was visible online.
      Many thanks,

OK OK I tried accessing Equifax to view online and had all that hassle. Have now just ordered to have it delivered in the post, as with Experian too.

Thanks again for your guidance Niddy ;-y

Quick question Niddy. Just going through my 2009 file, it shows my Paragon debt under Arrow Global Limited. Now, if Paragon still own the debt, which Arrow were making out in their CCA request response, then wouldn't it appear on my file under their name?
          Many thanks,

It can be re-assigned but the default date must remain the same, remember it could have been owned by paragon but they assigned collection to arrow.... don't worry too much about the actual defaults, you'll have a few of them before things are done!

OK fair enough on that. Wasn't worried, just curious I was thinking I wouldn't get any more defaults given that all mine are in default anyway or can you get a default on a default?

Not worried about post count, though thanks for saying anyway. Had seen you have merged posts together so not a problem

One debt = One default, no you cannot get re-defaulted. Yea, just tidied things up a bit for you....

                  Niddy,

Got my Experian Statutory Credit Report.

You were right and three of the companies have dropped off it due to having defaulted 6+ years ago What does this actually mean in real terms though? Is it purely that they now do not influence my credit rating etc?

Anyway, have updated the details above which was just the Outstanding balance on Arrow Global. Strangely, a letter I got at the beginning of the year stated I owed nearly £28k but the report says about £23k. Not sure what happened to £5k LOL Still not heard anything back from them though since they said they would chase the OC. Mind you, I expect letters to roll in once they don't get any money from me LOL

Now waiting on Equifax SCR to see if anything appears on there.

One quick question, does having payments like mobile phone, agreements to pay for education (OU) etc benefit at all while there are still defaults?

                  Thanks

                  Dave

Yea, exactly so even though you could still owe money nothing can ever be added to your credit report (unless they successfully obtain a CCJ) - so you *could* kinda ignore them and there aint much they can do....

The balance could be lower as they sold it, removed charges/removed outstanding future interest - could be a host of reasons, i'd not worry about that too much.

God no - forget credit, for the forseeable future at least! I explain it in detail, including the wait times here: ---> viewtopic.php?f=48&t=48

OK thanks for the confirmation. I am assuming that a CCJ is difficult to obtain if they don't have an agreement to back up their claims?

OH OK. I only ask as throughout all of this I have maintained a mobile account (cheap) as I thought it may help in the long term when I get myself back on track. Additionally, I study with the OU as part of getting my life in order and pay them monthly. Does appear they haven't done a search on me though for the "credit".
                      Many thanks,

Indeed, they cannot obtain judgment so long as there is a CCA missing (see my signature)

Nah, OU won't help anyway, nor will a mobile in fairness - but the mobile will do you "no harm" other than preserve any link to that address, should you ever move.

Got my Equifax CR and it gives no info other than my Orange details and the Arrow Global, which ties in with the Experian one.

No other news to report at the moment.

                            Thanks

OK, so I cancelled my standing orders and sat back waiting for the fallout but as yet, nothing!!! All three DCAs would've normally collected their money within the first few days of the month and so I was expecting immediate threats and yet I am knid of disappointed.

Anyway, I am sure they will arrive at some point yet not one of them has produced anything, let alone a CCA!!!

                                I'll keep you posted ;-)
