The thing is, there are people out there who will be scared into paying up.

Good luck with the MRI scan results.

Isn't it great when you no longer get the phone calls. I just smiled at the thought of them getting annoyed because they couldn't get hold of me, though I never answered it anyway.

Thanks for the replies and good wishes. Hopefully it will be good news.Seems ridiculous that we want it to show something up so he can re-operate. If not, this is as good as it gets,i'll struggle to get back to work and we'll have to rethink things. We'll worry about that when we know more tho. Fingers crossed. Thanks again

Oh dear they are upset aren't they. The agreement is UE so tough they can add whatever they like it doesn't change the fact that they can't enforce whatever they put on.

I had this discussion with our solicitors early 2010. They said don't worry anything they try on we will recover and more it just paper BS.

                regards

Thanks for the reply Garlok. Still sometimes feel like this is too good to be true and we'll end up owing thousands more than we started with. Thanks for putting my mind at rest once again. Enjoy your Sunday

You could sit on it and see what they want to do next or I would think about sending this:-

                      > CCA Query - Creditor Refusal to Accept UE Status

And see where this takes them.

I'm no expert, without looking into it, but I would certainly be dubious!

                                Hi samsmum and billy,

Yes it is dubious practice to terminate employment whilst an employee has a valid reason for being off sick. However once Statutory Sick pay has run out that coincides with the ending of the period under which the normal rules as such apply. Can't remember what fancy name they call it now but during longterm sickness such as this, you are then transferred to what used to be called the "Special List" whereby your employer was no longer obliged by law to keep your job open for you and were at liberty to look for a replacement. However once you became fit again for work, they were required to offer you employment again but not necessarily at the same salary, level of seniority or the same work. However once SSP has finished you will be entitled to incapcity benefit or the new one, IC was at the lower rate for six months then it increased upwards to the higher rate.

The other thing to look at of your OH is working is your total income as a couple, in these circumstances to look at working families tax credits, even if you have no children at home or full time education this still applies.

                                regards
