Quick update...

Letter from (ex) DCA advising MBNA account has been sold to Cabot. Oh lordy I have to deal with these on two accounts now!
As soon as I get something from Cabot I'll send an Account Sold...

Update to CrapOne account.

Further letter from Cabot... they have been trying to contact me as I owe blahdeblah. They have very kindly gone to the trouble of sending me an income and expenditure form.

I think I will file that in the incinerator

I'm assuming this is your ex-MBNA account which is due to become SB next month.

Am keeping my eyes on the Cabot threads and I await their next move. . . . and I believe my last payments were all made in May 2010 so I am keeping everything crossed for the next few months.

If so it looks like Cabot are having one last throw of the dice before they haven't got a hope in hell of getting any money from you.

They now own both my MBNA and my CrapOne... this latest letter was for the CrapOne.

Last payments on both of these were made in May 2010 so I'm counting the days and presumably by end June they will be SB. (Now that both are sold on, I'm tempted to get SARs for them so I know exact dates). But presumably by end June they will both be SB.

I had a phone call this evening but just said I didn't discuss financial matters on the phone, please write to me.

Just a few days later, they've sent another letter, a sort of statement account and telling me all the ways I can pay..

Quick update.

Re CrappyOne... letter from Cabot informing me that they have not been able to obtain requested paperwork from CrapOne, and therefore debt is currently unenforceable (they omitted to mention it's now also SB but I'll let them off that one ).

Just to update this diary... all of these are now SB. Some I haven't heard from in quite a while, others have been keeping Royal Mail in business this year. But all of them are SB so I no longer judder as the post hits the mat Thanks to this forum, I've been able to (almost) retain my sanity over the past 6 years. I hope my diary gives hope to others.
