    Hi guys,
Just been checking up on this request. Royal mail track and trace says it was redirected but was signed for 18/03/13. Should i send a letter chasing it up. Or shall i wait a tad longer?

I would send a letter. Why are they emailing you anyway? Where did they get your address from? What you do about that depends on the address you have and how important it is to you. If it is a throwaway free account, you can always close it and open another one. If it is a domain email, you can download Mailwasher and bounce the emails so it appears as though the address is no longer active.

If it is a web based account you use for important things in real life, there is not much you can do other than block the address, or tell them that you will only communicate by letter.

    Send this -

You'll need to edit the last paragraph slightly, as payments have already ceased.

I would just send a one liner referring them to your missing PT's letter and enclose a copy.

    Hi DTMM,
Just remembered need to send a formal complaint. Any template in mind and who shall i send too?

Agreed. Their own intransigence has placed them in default of your legitimate request, so just see what idiocy they come up with next.

Playing a game is exactly what they are doing, but it is a game which in the end they cannot win. If the deadlock endures for six years, they will lose due to the limitation clock expiring.

Good. That is essential, as each payment or written acknowledgment of the alleged debt restarts the limitation clock.

I wouldn't do that just yet. In the first place, you can only go to the Ombudsman once you have exhausted the complaints procedure of the organisation itself. Secondly, the Ombudsman is always reluctant to become involved in disputes surrounding legislation, as they deem this to be a matter for the courts. Finally, and most importantly, why should you need to do anything? They have put themselves into a situation of default due to their own intransigence, so why do anything which would help them escape from that?

    SH
    Hi Scabhunter,
Shall i just sit tight now or draft a letter? If so any suggestions are more than welcomed.

    Thanks
