    Ignore credit file for now. That's really quite irrelevant in the scheme of things.

    One thing at a time. Pointless worrying about credit file. Trust me.

      Whilst we endeavour to obtain documents within the prescribed times scales, due to the fact that we have to try to obtain documents from the original creditor we may be unable to do so, your account is on hold and has been removed from the collection process whilst we await the requested information.

          I thought it was

          I have also received another two letters within the same envelope; they are from Barclaycard stating it is a formal assignment of my account to Marlin Captial Euruope and then one from Marlin Capital Europe saying they have been assigned all right, title, interest and benefit in the debts previously due to Barclays Bank Plc.

          The strange thing is the account number used by both companies and the amount outstanding does not relate to any of my previous cards - I think my other Egg might have been taken over by Barclaycard but the account number is completely different.

          I assume I need to send a CCA request as soon as I can now to Marlin? I could get it off today between the batches of sausage rolls coming out of the oven for George's party Do I need to tell them I don't have an account with this number?

          Any advice as to who I need to send it to would be great.

              Thanks SaltnVinegar; done now.

              Should I send the request to Marlin? I have looked on my credit report I downloaded last Friday and I am pretty sure this was the other Egg card originally. Would I need to send the CCA to Egg, Barclaycard or these Marlin people? Would like to do it today.

              Thanks Elsa for George's best wishes - he had a lovely morning and is in nursery now so making a whole pile of lovely party food for later

                Send the letter to Marlin, as it has been fully assigned, they are now the owners of the account.

                  Marlin are wankers. No other name is suitable for them.

                  I should know. Hence we have an ongoing complaint against them and their tactics

                  Bunch of TURDS (as are their solicitors Rectums Illegal)....

                  Anyway, keep us updated and well done on that first mini-result

                  Keep all letters received safe. No more filing under B - bin!

                        They change the references use the one provided by them (marlin)!!

                                Looks like BC have been busy dumping their Egg accounts, I've had the same letter from them advising that Marlins now own the debt.

                                Like Elsa, I will wait to hear from them as well.
