    Re: capquest

I agree with you on that evenlessdopey........and if they do send someone from Glasgow you could ask them to bring a translator as you probably would not understand half of what they would say.

Apologies to any Scots out there but I d have relations in Scotland and believe me it is so funny when we meet up and talk as I have to sometimes ask them to speak slowly and more clearly as I don't have a clue to what their on about most of the time LOL

They are trying to intimidate you oldgrey so don't panic mate......your getting great advice on here so hang in there. You are in good and safe hands.

JUST REMEMBER YOU KNOW NOOOOOOOOOOTHING OK LOL!!!!!!!!!

        NO!

That is exactly what they want - do not ring! This is not a bailiff you know, they have less rights than your local postie (a postie has an implied licence/authority to enter your grounds - a dca does not!).....

Basically ignore it, pointless sending any letters right now, unless you have already done so. Usually yes, you'd send the letter Elsie pointed out to you (thanks Elsie) however as today is the 19th, pointless - so don't bother.

if they call, just say sorry - i'm not interested, don't even explain things - in fact, don't even answer the door!

          Re: capquest

I just thought i'd update my situation its been a quiet few weeks from capquest but yesterday i recieved a letter saying they were sad that i hadn't made a offer and that they were going to send this case back to capital one they weren't interested in the reasons why i wasn't paying but this was my last opportunity and they would consider any offer of payments. or words to that affect. it was rather an odd letter from a DCA i've had legal threats doorstop threats etc. They have given me until the 24th of march to make my offer otherwise they will send this back to capital one saying i won't pay rather than can't pay.

This will then lead to another DCA buying the debt and the whole process starting again but i've had less trouble than i thought from capquest the letters i've sent (thanks niddy) have worked i've had no doorstop callers no harrassment over the phone etc. Whether the next DCA will follow the same instruction regarding harassment whether it be in person or over the phone i have my doubts.

But i've felt a lot happier over these past few months and its all down to this forum how you keep this going as well as working i have no idea. I'll update once capital one or the next DCA get in touch but thanks again.

happy holidays for tomorrow niddy :-)

Its been there since we changed logo's a few months ago now

We also own the domain www.consumer-revenge.co.uk thus we thought we'd have it in our name, as technically we are a consumer revenge "outfit"

                        Re: capquest

I'd send the new account sold while in dispute letter.

I had Fredricksons chasing me for my Capital One debt - and have just had a letter this morning from Capquest so they've obviously given up on it and passed it back to Capital One.

Niddy has said that your Capital One account is UE so I don't think you have anything to worry about.

                          Re: capquest

thanks pixie for the reply. The calls are only to my mobile and that is always on silent so the calls aren't that annoying they have so many different numbers though . how were fredrickson to deal with ? my only worry is that they send someone round to the house did they ever do that ? But i've read the forum so i know that they have less legal rights than they say. i'll go take a look at your diary.

i'll send the letter on monday perhaps along with the no contact only via post to be on the safe side.

                            Hi oldgrey
Do what pixie said and I would put in
                            Harassment by Telephone Template

                            it worked for me.
