Re: Old Next account with moorcroft

Minor update on the OH's Next account. Moorcroft have written saying the account is on hold while they request the cca from Next but in the meantime it would be awfully civil if we could let them know what the problem is.

Do we need to send anything being as the 14 days are up or just wait? Probably a daft question but best to check.

          Thanks folks

Re: Old Next account with moorcroft

                Evening folks

Another update today with a letter from Moorcroft claiming they have now complied with the cca request for the client (Next) with the enclosed documents and as such its time to pay up!

                So, the documents enclosed.

                1) A booklet of the current terms and conditions
                2) A photocopy of some older terms and conditions (not sure when from but the phone number isnt working for customer services as i checked lol)
                3) Some sort of printout showing when the account was started (Only wrong by about 8 years), owing, interest charged and a few other things. Dont know what that is all about though. Looks straight from a computer screen.

So there are no signatures anywhere, infact no markings at all on what look to be stock printouts. They could be for anybody at anytime in the past from anywhere!

Not sure if it is worth uploading them as the experienced on here have probably seen them before.

Oh, and the letter was dated the 10th postmarked the 18th and arrived today but they have given the missus 14 days. Cheeky sods.

Moorcroft usually sling their hook after a CPUTR letter (by rec. delivery) ....it's in the template section.

Sorry to be a bit fick but which one is it? Would it be the one for an application or the one for a recon?
What they have sent probably was a stock agreement at some point but has nothing to link it with my better half.

I swear i will get the hang of this soon

I'm not sure what they've sent covers either, to be honest. They've sent you a fiche of something though..... so you can adapt the letter to suit your needs.

Did you find the CPUTR template ok?

Not yet, i will find it before the night is out though.

I suppose i basically want them to confirm they hold the original and a cputr2008 letter would cover that i guess.

                              ---> New Templates - CPUTR - allaboutFORUMS

However bear in mind this is a very risky strategy to take - they can ignore you, they most probably will ignore you and you have no legal recourse if they then go for a summary judgment in the meantime.

Be warned, it's not the suggested route to take...

If they decide to answer, yes. But what does it matter to you if they hold it or not? Are you planing on taking action against them? If not then it doesn't matter diddly squat.

If they ever take action against you then you utilise CPR to find the answer which is more powerful than the unknown CPUTR....

Just my opinion, I personally do not rate the CPUTR route but believe it can work based on other comments so if you do it please bear in mind we strongly suggest (in the main) that you do not do it....

Let the process get properly tested and then we can re-evaluate things....
